5 quart bottle Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w20 and a Microgard Select filter for my 2014 V6 Accord. O Reilly's is running a decent deal $38.99 for both the oil and the filter. Only a couple bucks cheaper than getting the oil on Amazon but I don't have to sweat shipping damage etc. this way.

Buying it a tad early in case oil prices spike a bit.

While a couple months ago already. I was planning to change the oil and filter in the 2006 Trailblazer 4.2L. Have a Fram Ultra and 5L of Co-op Elite 0w30, full PAO. It will get a topup of leftover Mobil 0w30 from the last change. Its around 16,000km on this index so I'll wait for warmer, dryer weather.

This week I bought two 6 quart boxes of 5w30 Havoline ProDS Lifelong High Mileage Full Synthetic from local Walmart for $28 per 6 qt box.

I later learned that Amazon sells Lifelong for $25 per 6 qt box (after getting 4% discount for using my Amazon Prime credit card and 6% discount for selecting Amazon Day shipping).

I also learned that Sam's Club sells Lifelong for $23 per 6 qt box, but I don't have a Sam's Club membership.

I watched a Youtube video where a guy measured how much oil is in his 6 qt box of Havoline High Mileage Synblend. He measured 7 quarts. He didn't know if there's always an extra quart or not. His video is below.

When I have time I will measure how much oil is in my 6 qt boxes of Havoline Pro DS Lifelong High Mileage Full Synthetic.

Got in a case of AMSOIL Signature Series to cover me for 2027, so I avoid whatever price increase or supply shortage may occur later this year.

At worst, I have it on the shelf up to an extra year. No big deal there and I secure an excellent oil for yearly oil changes; which my used oil analysis have already validated as repeatable.

Those I bought are 5-qt jugs. The shelves at this particular Walmart our full of 1-qt and 5-qt jugs.

I went to Walmart near my work expecting to see a very sparce selection of motor oil, but to my surprise the shelf was well stocked. Considering the situation in the middle-east I bought three 5-quart jugs of Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 and one 5-quart jug of Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30. With this purchase and what I already had on hand my motor oil inventory is in a good place for the foreseeable future.

Bought 6 quarts of Mobil 1 5w30 ESP for my 2.7L EcoBoost F150. I’m not usually a Mobil 1 guy but it seems to be a fan favorite around here. I know the 0w30 is supposed to be slightly better but my OCD doesn’t like the thought of running something thinner than the recommended grade (I know, I know), especially as we head into summer and warmer weather.

Here's part of my stash, including the 4 Mobil 1 Truck and SUV and 6 Valvoline Restore and Protect I bought yesterday. I have more HPL in other closets and ~15 qts of AMSOIL Signature Series in 0W-20 and 5W-30 flavors. There are 10 Pentius UFXL7317 and a dozen Carquest Premium 84356 oil filters. Several months ago I bought two cases of Amsoil Upper Cylinder Lubricant, thinking I was going to quit using Shell Premium and start using Shell regular 87 octane and add a bottle at each fill-up. Changed my mind and only using Shell Premium at this time.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on the internet that only works if you pour it all over your workbench and floor, wait 6mo/5k miles (whichever comes first), then clean with the media from several quality oil filters.
