Post your latest oil or filter purchase

Is that to be used as an engine flush or oil additive?
I'm using it for 1,000 miles as a cleaner.
Many threads on it, check through this section https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/forums/otc-and-third-party-oil-additives.5/, there is dedicated thread to it. Basically to be used in place of a quart of your regular oil choice at a 5:1 ratio oil:HPL Engine Cleaner 30. I believe that was to be used for 2000 miles depending on your engine condition. Recommended to replace and cut open your filter at 2k so you can expect and go from there. Many of us have used it for a full OCI AFTER checking at the 2k.

It is a fully formulated oil, definitely NOT a flush product, maybe you could consider it more toward an additive but even that is not quite correct.

No separate picture but bought a lone Carquest Premium 85348 to be used on my generator. From recommendations here I was going to actually buy an individual quart of Mobil 1 0W-40 for the generator. The Advance Auto Parts I was at had no 0W-40 choices of anything and only a couple 5W-40.

I went with separate choice and recommendation of 5W-30 from my stock. Generator only used 3-4 times in over a decade except for the start/run/warm up under load/shutdown every coupe months and before storms. I needed to get the 2.5 year old 15W-50 out. Trying to pull start that when at was single digits was not a thing. This at least gets me going if needed and I still have a 15W-50 quart if I want to replace it if we need it for extended use.

I haven't bought ac delco filter in a while. Lots of holes for flow on the newer ones pF 46e

More of a visual thing (makes people think more flow) than an actual physical flow increase that doesn't make any real difference lubricating the engine, especially one that's not at redline RPM.

I finished the first 2 early changes on my '25 Crosstrek and switched over to Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w-16 with an STP XL filter at just under 4k miles. I was surprised to find it as even Valvoline wasn't able to confirm when it would be available for purchase.

Mobil 1 FS Euro Car Formula Full Synthetic Motor Oil 0W40. For my snowblower, power washer and generator.

7 quarts of Mobil 1 ESP 0w20 , a Carquest premium oil filter and a Carquest premium air filter for a 2024 Nissan Titan. Sent in a 5000 mile oil analysis with Valvoline Restore and Protect. Will post results when it's done

I just had to buy cheap filter to start a car that hasn’t run in eight years. Plan is to change it and maybe the oil after we get it running. I’m curious about brands I used to buy, Baldwin, or some that I thought were premium, maybe. I saw it cheap on Amazon while buying something else. Good job, Amazon, persuading me to buy something cheap. I will not cut it open to look for engine fragments or to count how many folds there are. Once it’s removed, it’s trash.
