$7.98 a piece or so. I got too used to living within 3 toyota dealers and buying 4 at a time for $5. When I bought the Tacoma when we moved from a different state i ran into a Toyota & honda joint dealership. The one oil filter was $15. Yikes. So, walmart was convienet this time around. I will make sure to hit the toyota dealer way north of here if I can and purchase more than one at a time.
Thanks. I order lots from rock auto and a toyota wholesale dealer called mcgeorge. That's a reminder, checked rock auto and the denso air filter for my tacoma is $15 on rockauto which is very fair! Add some other things to make shipping worth it! I usually save 30 to 50 percent or more.If possible order at autoparts.toyota.com and have them delivered to the local Toy dealer. Used this oil for years. Great price !!!
Ah OKThe nub it locks into on the cap side is the bypass valve. While it can move somewhat under friction, it is suppose to remain static with the housing side tip o-ring is suppose to spin as it is screwed down with the outside media of the cage somewhat floating and not rotating a as much if at all as the cap is screwed down.
I first noticed this on standard WIX cartridge filters and now this Hengst. Not saying to not use them but they would not be my preferred Pentastar cartridge filter. Point is moot for me though as I went to a Baxter Performance filter adapter and use regular can filter.
Same thing. Part number should be on the back. May even have the "WB" suffix on the part number instead of "AC".I ordered the MOPAR 68191349AC filter from Walmart online. What arrived was MO-349.
At second dealer to get the rest of bolts to replace the missing, partially stripped ones. I didn't buy it but nice clean shiny SRT oil filter? Different flow/efficiency? Just looks nice for show?I passed by local Jeep dealer to get some bolts for skid plate for father-in-laws Renegade. I'll probably do a change this weekend since he's 300 miles shy of the 4k severe service but he does idle a lot also reading his newspaper etc. They had mentioned it prior but they have a "loyalty bucks" thing when you go for service. He still had some of that available so I got the bolts and 2 filters, still enough left for 1 more filter in future.
Since he's paying for parts, not labor, I'll probably hit up AAP for a jug of Valvoline Restore and Protect, not sure what viscosity, and a CQP filter for the Honda's. His Renegade will get the AAP clearance Delo 5W-40, I think I have 2 OCI's worth left.
