I would have went to 5W-30 at the first oil change.

The OLM was 88%. All city driving.
I change the oil many times prior to reaching 10K miles.

Forgot to mention in my previous post that I also replaced the drain plug gasket when changing oil in my daughter's Edge. The gasket is rubber and hadn't been replaced for several oil changes. The old one was so flat and dried out I'm surprised it wasn't leaking but it wasn't.

The Champ XLs outshine the OEM filters and almost half-the-price, when bought in bulk ( I always add new Trico wiper blades 4pks) at rockauto.com

Now that's a unique oil change! What was the color of the 14 yr old oil coming out of the bottle? Did you shake the bottles? Was there sediment at the bottom?

The oldest oil in my stash is a couple of quarts of QSUD from 2012 and a 5qt jug of PUP from 2017. Trying to decide whether I should even run it. Leaning towards leaving the QSUD for lawnmowers and running the PUP in my Jag.

This is not true. Motor oil goes bad on the shelf after sitting for years.

2000 miles on this oil and filter.

In - M1 HM 5w-30, and new Fram Ultra Synthetic XG3980.

Glad to say the MMO fixed my Lifter tick! The engine is now whisper quiet!
