Lake house beater, is used to run to town if the trucks are hooked up to boats or tow a boat if needed.
2009 Tahoe PPV 5.3L 140k miles
in service: 1.5 years un known mileage

out/off: 6 quarts pennzoil quick lube 5w-30 and PZ filter

in/on: 6 quarts Mobil 1 FS 0w-40 with Microgard select MSL10255

oil was black and the Pennzoil filter lacked an ADBV completely. i didn’t get the model number off of it unfortunately. when you started the truck the gauge would show 0psi for 5-10 seconds. now it’s instantly at 40psi. plan to change the oil yearly.

2003 Jeep Wrangler Out: 5qts Quaker State High Mileage Synthetic Blend 10w30 1qt Valvoline High Mileage Synthetic Blend 10w30 With K&N HP-2004 Filter In: 6 Qts Franken Mix 10w30/40 And Stp Oil Treatment With Mighty M3600 Filter
Ran Stp Engine Flush also to help clean whatever gunk was in that motor

Could not wait to try my latest yellow tag special - and do a sound test: RGT was 2.2 db louder than the Mobil 1 - 5W30 vs 0W40 - that might be the difference - but M1 SC certainly is not loud …
In at 31k - Fram XG remains …

Cleaning the shop - found a couple more Korean made Fram XG’s
Decided to change like for like at 6k - then plan an OLM run on the M1 SC just changed …
These are synthetic media over nylon mesh - both these and the Mopar filters do the Jeep wave - Mobil 1 EP stayed very straight …
(But not as good on micron cut) … Used filter is ~1/16” shorter …
I have one more XG for this motor …

2003 Toyota Corolla:

Out- Quick lube 5w30, Napa Pro filter
In- ST 15w40, Fram TG filter

247,053 miles

I sold this car to my buddy 11 years ago. He recently bought a Scion IM for his new daily and asked me if I wanted to buy it back. I didn't hesitate it's a great car, needs some love but at this mileage not surprising. Also needed a new drain plug due to some damaged threads on the old one.

Ran BG EPR for 25 minutes prior to oil change, followed by a 10 minute rinse with leftover oils I had before putting in the final fill.
