Out: TOTAL QUARTZ 0w20 I gave brother last Christmas and MANN filter.

In: more of the same. He’s set on TOTAL 0w20 for about next 2 years

That exact oil Total 0W20 is going in the Rav4 at 10K coming up real soon Adam.

Out - Providence HM 5w30 & Prime Guard. 4,700 mile OCI, I usually let it hit 5k but I won’t have time next weekend.

In - Valvoline MaxLife 5w30 & EcoGuard

Also did engine and cabin air filters and a new PCV. Let the kiddo do most of the work. Took us twice as long but he did it made me proud.

Did another piston soak on the kiddos Kia, finished it today. Used the ACDelco spray top engine cleaner. When done ran a quick “rinse” OCI with Supertech then changed it to Valvoline R&P. Oil usage dropped by about 50% after the first piston soak. If it drops another 50% after the second, I’ll be happy. Hoping the R&P will help keep the rings cleaner too!!!! We’ll see.

I’ve got it draining, so hopefully I’ll get it done later in the week before we leave for vacation. I’m very interested to see how those end caps held up. They are a molded glue/foam type material.

Kid’s 2012 Ford Focus - Annual low mileage oci, this one about 3,000 miles. Car is now at 68,350 miles.

New oil is Pennzoil FS High Mileage 5w-20. This engine takes 4.53 qts… used a Champ XL filter from my RockAuto stash…. Also changed wiper blades and added a small amount of coolant to the reservoir.

In: HPL PCMO 5/30, Fram FE3614

Also did drain/fill on the transmission with Amsoil SS FE atf, cabin air filter & rotated tires. Engine air filter looked brand new so I left the old one & put the replacement back on the shelf.

Also took UOA sample & a VOA as I didn’t see the base HPL PCMO 5/30 in the VOA list.

I’ll put filter C&P in the proper forum

'19 Honda Pilot EX-L. 4986 on the oil, 62098 on the motor.

Out - about 6 qts PP Euro L 5W-30 and Honda 15400-PCX-004. (it was a little over full last time)
In - 5.7 qts PP Euro L 5W-30 and Honda 15400-PCX-004

Didn't take any bottle and filter pictures BUT the Valvomax drain plug/tube was nice. I still needed the drain pan for the filter (and deflector) that sits right over the frame.

Could not wait to try my latest yellow tag special - and do a sound test: RGT was 2.2 db louder than the Mobil 1 - 5W30 vs 0W40 - that might be the difference - but M1 SC certainly is not loud …
