How’d the fluid look with that many miles on it? I changed mine in both diffs on my navigator at 140k and it was NASTY.

2022 Ram 2500 4x4
17,035 miles
Out: factory fill in the rear diff and Transfer case.
In: T/C Amsoil SS MV ATF
Rear Diff Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90
Didn’t or haven’t changed the Front diff yet since the truck has never been off road and has less than 5 miles in 4 WD.
I have a gallon of Mobil Delvac 75W-90 that is probably going in the Front diff shortly.

1999 LandCruiser, 109,310 miles (my neighbors and long time friend)

In: Castrol Axle 80W90 GL-5

Rein M18 magnetic drain plug from FCP

1995 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4wd

Both out: unknown oil
Both in: Mobil 1 75w90

1999 LandCruiser, 109,310 miles (my neighbors and long time friend)

Transfer Case:

Out: unknown
In: Mobil 1 75W-90 LS

Rein M18 magnetic drain plug from FCP

The fluid was black with a pronounced metallic shimmer. Most likely the first change. I plan to repeat in 5,000 miles.

1992 Mercedes 300D 2.5 turbo, 159,310 miles

Out: Castrol Axle 80W90
In: same

11,000 mile OCI, second change since I purchased it.

I added a second M24x1.5 taper magnetic plug. The one installed 11,000 miles ago had some small slivers of metal.

The color of the fluid was nearly the same as new.

The sump is only 1.2 liters. This seems small to me for a car this heavy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

2012 Ram 1500 5.7l 4X4

72K miles on truck
39K miles front differential fluid

Out: Supertech Full Synthetic 75W-90
In: Castrol Full Synthetic Transmax 75W-90

Transparent light brown, no glitter noted

I'll change the rear differential and transfer case soon. These still contain factory fill.

2020 Jeep Wrangler

56991 miles

The oil was clean, so it may have been done by the previous owners

Rear: Valvoline Full-Synthetic 75w-140 with Limited Slip additive

Front: Valvoline Full Synthetic 75w-90, topped off with Conventional 80w-90 to complete the fill

Last week or so I did the front diff on my 2006 Trailblazer, 277,000km. Replaced the cv shafts seal. I think I had done the gear oil late spring 2020. Cannot recall mileage without pulling the logs.

Out was Co-op Gear Oil SL, group 4, 75w90. In was the same.

She was low and dark from my neglect of not changing the seal a year or more back.

2015 Ford Transit EcoBoost: 83100 mi
Out: factory fill (Motorcraft 75w85): kind of dark, but not too opaque; Some diff gear faces looked “polished.”
In: HPL Differential Life 75w90
Seems quieter now. (My imagination???)

2013 Subaru 3.6r auto: 83890 mi: front & rear
Out: unknown, but probably factory fill Subaru 75w90: kind of dark, but not too opaque. Some splooge on the drain plug magnets. Rear splooge was black, front splooge was silvery, but no “particles.”
In: Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90

thanks to Pablo’s help and patience, also thanks to HPL’s tech support (David C), as well as @SubieRubyRoo

In: RP MaxGear 75w90
