Well after a week in Arlington, Va. and the associated crowds of DC during the week of the 4th, we decided to skip Philly and just come back home. We’ll be taking some day trips to the surrounding, less crowded areas, over the next week. We don’t mind crowded cities, but we just weren’t feeling it anymore. We want some time together in a less crowded atmosphere.
So anyway, after mowing my lawn this evening, I felt that a nice, crisp pilsner was appropriate.
Cheers my friends! 🇩🇪🍻🇩🇪

After seeing @53' Stude post a Red Stripe this past Monday, I decided to grab a six pack of it. It’s been 23 years since I’ve had one, way back when I lived in Mesa, Arizona. It’s as I remember it, it has a thin, watery mouthfeel, but it’s not offensive in anyway. It’s a very drinkable lager on a hot day, it’s what I call a good lawnmower beer.

Cheers my friends! 🇯🇲🍻🇯🇲

I haven’t had one of those and I’m now on a mission to find one thanks to you. 😉
I’m sure that I’ll have to find it in Little Rock since the few stores around here never have it. They have other varieties of Weihenstephaner, just never this one in particular. 🍻

Locally, Grocery Outlet, of all places, carries it. Only $3.99 a bottle. I haven't had any Weihenstephaner beer I didn't enjoy.

sad news for the Anchor Brewing Co. consumers. If you don’t always have some Anchor Steam Beer in your fridge you are probably out of luck, as they have closed and are not shipping any more product.

Here’s to a superb American craft beer. Am going to miss it.
