BTW - Pliny the Elder is so much easier to find now. I heard stories about how some people would stalk Russian River Brewing Company's delivery drivers. A lot of shops had limits, such as one or two bottles - even where they were kept in the back. And there were places that wanted to sell it but couldn't get a supply. Right now I have no problem (way more places selling it) and I haven't seen a limit anywhere. That, and Blind Pig (way underrated) is available in bottles at retailers, when previously it was only available at the brewpubs.

I've been drinking Yuengling Traditional Lager and Golden Pilsner lately, mostly because it's new to my area. It's decent beer.

As far as craft brews go, I'm really partial to the Manhattan Project Half Life beers- the regular and Double.

I'd like to try Superfortress, but I haven't seen it to buy yet.

Got a single can of this and tried it tonight.

Here's their description:

Clear Factor Westcoast IPA - 4 Pack of 16oz Cans

Clear Factor has a bright tangelo nose. The body is lean, with flavors of guava and dried apricots that fade into something herbal. The slightly sticky dank quality dries up at the end, and leaves the finish nice and dry.
Hops: Idaho7
6.6% ABV

I don’t usually crave Fieldwork but that is tempting…

I'm a fan of different breweries. I got into an interesting discussion once at a football game when talking about beer with some other people. Somehow during halftime we started talking about beer and was asked where I liked to go. I said Fieldwork, but then the question I was asked was whether or not I thought Russian River Brewing beers were better. And yes I think RRBC's top beers are among the best in the US (some say the world) but I do like the creativity and variety of Fieldwork. They're always willing to try something new and I like the more industrial atmosphere at their Berkeley brewery. RRBC is fun too, but in Santa Rosa it seems more like an upscale dive bar, and in Windsor it feels almost like a fancy winery.

Well tonight I’m having a couple of Sam Adam’s Boston Lagers,….Pablo’s probably throwing up a little as he reads Sam Adams. 🤔😂
Anyway, I’m loading some of these into the fridge for a sampling tomorrow. Cheers! 🍻

Well it’s pretty darn tasty. You can tell that it has a higher abv by the initial taste that leaves that warm fuzzy feeling on your tongue and in your throat. It’s immediately followed by a slight smokiness and coffee/caramel tone. The smokiness is very slight.
Anyway, I’m not one of those guys that’s very good at describing the flavors, but I’ll say that it’s just a good all around Wee Heavy.
8% ABV.
$15.00 for a six pack around here.
Cheers everyone! 🍻 🍺
