Sentury Touring All Season tires for a newly acquired '06 Toyota Matrix.

Old tires were from 2018 and had some severe sidewall cracking. 247,086 miles.
Correct. DOT up to 2022 has severe issues with Sentury Touring 1.0. 2.0 addressed most of the issues and added silica compound. Make sure DOT is 2025+.

These are top rated by reviews on Tirerack. How do you like them?
Have put on about 60 miles thus far and I like them. They are quiet around town and at highway speeds, and track very well. I am playing around with the pressures and have them set at 38 psi presently. At ~53 lbs. each. the tires are ~11 lbs. heavier than the Grabbers and I expect some marginal impact to mileage.

Frustrated.

Sort of purchased 4x Continental SecureContact AW for daughter-in-laws '21 Tucson. My son ordered from the closest Discount Tire 2 weeks ago. They called 2 days later and said tires were in, he made an appointment for today 6-20-26 while I'm here visiting delivering gifts from the baby shower. DT called on Thursday to confirm appointment time for today, we went accordingly. I paid for them on my Continental credit card so we get the $200 rebate. 30 minutes later the seems like shop manager says they can only find 3 of them  . He can install those 3 and we can comeback for the 4th probably Tuesday or he can "upgrade" us to the ControlContact Tour M A/S, or we can come back and do all 4 on probably Tuesday. My son said we ordered the SecureContact as we want the new all weather, not a different version, please order the tire and call me when it gets in.

I think it's misplaced somewhere in their racks or someone needed a 225-60-17, used that and didn't order the replacement. My son scheduled specifically for today since I was here to go. They were special ordered to start with since they don't stock them (yet), 20 minutes there, wait 30 minutes, 20 minutes back, now he needs to go after work this week.

Some of the sales pitches to others while we were there just frustrating to hear. The condition of some of the tires that were on vehicles coming in made the 3-4/32", 7 year old factory Primacy AS look brand new. Pretty scary actually.

We tell my wife and his wife when we get back, they both answered at the same time "you should have gotten the upgraded ones"🫨. That was why my son and I went and not sending his wife alone or mine. They just hear "upgrade" and presume it has to be better but then they buy only specific things when they do.

In any event, all paid for, rebate submitted, he'll have them this week, just extra hassle. My first DT experience not the best so far.

Have the SecureContact AW on the '25 KIA Soul LX that are 205/60-16 ( V-rated ) for about a thousand miles . So far they ride and handle well . The rolling resistance is good and the first full tank with the S.C AWs' got 39.1 calculated ( post here ( scroll down ) : https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/post-your-gas-mileage-calculated.330203/page-74 ) . They tend to be a bit noisy on certain road surfaces ( stone and tarred roads , etc. ) . Keep us up to date with your experience with them .

I'll have to rely on my son and his wife for feedback on trips or wherever. She's not the most observant for car things, he's pretty good.

I'll probably see it in September but unknown if I drive it. After that probably Christmas.

225-60-17 99H SecureContact AW mounted up and rolling on daughter-in-laws Tucson. My son said they were quiet on way home but only rode about 20 miles. 700 A A rating. Discount tire did leave a bunch of the white mounting lube on some of them but he'll clean that up maybe this weekend.

SecureContact HT on my Silverado 2500HD 265/70 18

@OVERKILL had a good review on these long term and I figured these would be the last tires I buy for this truck. These feel like I have one that needs a rebalance on the rear when at 70 mph and above so back it will go next week. Otherwise these are very quiet and ride very nice. They replaced Hankook Dynapro ATMs which were a good tire but got loud the last couple of years and felt like they were cinderblocks for ride quality from low tread and hardening.

How is road noise, wet traction??? These have big shoes to fill as the replacement for the G015. Most of the current reviews on these are for LT sizes which dont compare well to P-sized units.
It's hard to compare becuase my previous tires were Pilot Sport 4 SUV on different rims (19" as oppose to 17" now)...

So compared to those there's both less wet traction and more road noise, I've taken the car in a very different direction. I really have no idea how they compare against the G015, but as I understand it, road noise is a little higher.

Edit: these are Terrain Contact HT

Took them back to the shop I bought them from and they found one rear wheel was a little out of balance and the other threw a weight and just the clip remained.

Michelin Defender 245/50/R20 2015 Ford Edge 250.00 per tire mounted and balanced. Replaced Yokohama's that were seven years old.

4x Pirelli P7 AS 3 for my Accord in 215-55-17 from Sam's Club. Adventure today and back story from a 5 years ago.

I don't have Sam's or other places rotate my tires. I do that as part of spring/fall winter tire swap. I mark all my stuff in my book in glove box. My 5 year old Pirelli P7 Cinturato AS plus II had 46k on them in 5 years (also 29k on my winters). The Pirelli were down to 4/32" and got a little floaty in the last couple rains that I didn't like, time to replace. I called Pirelli about treadwear warranty as they are supposed to be 70k. I was very open about not having them rotated there but doing it in my driveway. Pirelli said make a copy of what you have and go to Sam's, see manager and explain.

I explained same thing to manager, gave him my copies from book including winter tire pictures with date codes and tread depth. He measured my Pirelli and said they were definitely rotated often, all 4 of them perfectly even at 4/32". He checked my winter tire pictures with it, looked up a chart and said we can do 33% off as a prorate on new Pirelli P7 AS 3. Also currently a $100 sale on 4 and only $40 to mount with plus membership. On website they are $175 each, he calculated and with tax, disposal fee, out the door would be $493. I said order them, he called next day that they were in, made appointment for today at 10am.

I got there at 9:45am and the tire guy said they were running behind because someone called out sick, of course. No problem, I'll wait. 11:30am they call and say all done so I go back over. I get my paperwork and keys, has all correct P7 information etc. I go out to my car and inspect because I am a BITOG tire nerd. Hmmm 4 x Pirelli P4 Persist are on it . I go back in, see the manager who had come in and say they installed the wrong tires. He looked confused, "Pirelli 215-55-17 correct?", yes, but wrong model. The communication was not clear in the bay. Mine were hiding behind a much taller stack of other tires so the guy thought I was getting the P4 Persist they had in stock.

45 minutes later I was all done for the second time . I did get a free lunch combo pizza slice and soda while waiting. Tires are correct, I'm driving VERY gently for a couple days, tires are marked in case of similar slip on rim issue. Now I'm trying to clean them up. I don't know if it's the lubricant or mold release but this white stuff is tenacious like a latched on Pitbull or some serious barnacles. I can rub it while dry and seems to wear off. I tried simple green with scrub brush. I tried Armor All Extreme Wheel and Tire cleaner with scrub brush and a microfiber. It is on there. I'll probably give it a couple days as rain is forecast and I'll drive with tire flexing.

Oh well, it was like the SS Minnow, a 3 hour tour of Sam's. 4 new, made Brazil, Pirelli P7 AS 3 for just under $500. Would these be considered Brazilian or Italian shoes?

replaced a set of OEM Bridgestone’s (10 years old) with Continental ControlContact Sport A/S+ from Discount Tire…a Discount Tire exclusive that is supposed to meet or exceed the performance of my usual preferred DWS-06+ for a new to me 2017 Cadillac XTS V-Sport...
