I also order tires online from WM and cross the Connecticut River to pick them up at a WM automotive center in sales tax free New Hampshire. Like you, I only trust the WM gorillas to carry the tires out to my SUV. I get them mounted by a shop with Hunter equipment.December 15th Walmart.com, Hankook Dynapro HP2 (RA33) 255/60R17 $142.53 each, set of 4 $350 less than local shops. My Chevy dealer mounted & balanced (road force) $54 with tax. Didn’t trust Walmart to install on my classic 66
I had the same problem years ago with Blizzaks. I think due to the soft compound you are feeling it squirm. I noticed it a lot at highway speeds but I got used to it after a few times of driving.Issues with new snow tires
With the winter approaching I decided to bite the bullet and order snows for my car. I researched snow tires and ended up buying 4 225/40-18 Vredestein Wintrac Pro Xl tires mounted on Enkei wheels from TireRack. These are "W" rated snows. They are replacing staggered Michelin PSS tires. My wife has Vredestein tires on her appliance, err Accord, and they're great.
TireRack shipped them with 34psi inflation in all tires which I increased to 35psi front and 37psi rear. The lug bolts are torqued to 105ft-lbs, per factory specs. I know that new tires have the remnants of chemicals that allow the tire to be easily removed from the tire molds. This is typically worn off after 50 miles of driving. Obviously, these are not PSS tires, but the car wanders at highway speeds.![]()
Anyone want to chime in as to possible solutions?
An excellent choice. I've got the Nokian Outpost APT (all-weather) on my 2023 Hyundai Kona N-Line. It took on the crazy snowy-winter weather here in Metro Vancouver last month like a champ. Nokians are now "Made in USA" (Dayton, Tennessee). This is a huge plus for me (even as a Canadian).Updating my purchase. After months of looking for the perfect tire for our 2020 Connect.. we went through 5 different brands and none expect the Nokian brand seem to offer us the prefect blend of performance and handling. We can now say we're perfectly happy with the Nokian WRG4 tires. These tires out perform any tires we've ever had the chance to own. The are superior on dry roads and very well on wet roads. We've yet to drive these on snow covered roads. As I said in other post, the other tire's sidewalls kept over flexing some time to the point where they looks like the tires are going flat of that they are about ready to pop off the rim. The only tires that didn't perform in this manor was the Nokian brand. But the Nokian "one" tires failed on wet roads. We gave the Nokian brand another chance and selected the WRG4' tires and what a different these things want to grip the road no matter what the condition. Now to upgrade the stock 24mm sway bar to a 32mm performance sway bar for even better handing.
So here's what we ended up with: 19x8.5 ET40 Axe CS Lite Wheels w/ 245/40/R19 Nokian WRG4 tires.
My uncle recently acquired this 2022 Corvette and he's looking to get a new set of tires. We'll just finish installing the suspension and shocks from 4Wheelonline onto the truck before we can start modding it. I'll mention the NT555 G2 tires to him.A set of four Nitto nt555 G2 tires for a 2022 Corvette

Well dad bought these but unfortunately they won’t work for what we need because two will not pass Virginia state inspection. I told him just save up your money while you aren’t using the car and pay me back for the Uniroyal Tiger Paw. They would be new versus these tires. There is nothing wrong with these but the fact they are used the back two had 4/32 fronts are 2/32 which fails state inspection in Virginia. I even ordered the tires for him now I’m going to have to fork out the $400 for them they are what he wanted and told me to order the Uniroyal. And in Virginia the law states if someone sells you used tires they have to install them and also they cannot be over 5 years old so automatically these are disqualified from that. These are 2017 tires. So now he is out of luck. I told him try selling the two with 4/32 to recoup some money back. I love him but man he does not think sometimes. I told him wait till I get home to look at them. Come home and he already bought them.
Wish I could use those. His are 215/60R16.I have a set of those with 4,000 miles on them. 2022 Acadia 235/55/20s. Because they don't have the snow flake 3pms or m&s, they cannot be
