Post a photo of your oil on dipstick (with miles)

33 hours on my Generac RG027 of 242 total. Kirkland 5W-30

2003 Honda Civic
1760 mi on oil
187758 mi on car
Valvoline R&P 5W30
1/2 qt added 2 weeks ago when it got to the midpoint between full and low.
The oil was at the full mark, but I took too long to take the pic so it started accumulating at about the halfway point. Red line was added to show the oil level.

2013 Volvo S80 3.2l
83888 mi on car
4088 mi on oil
Castrol Euro 5w-40

Oil looks good for 4k miles. Level has not budged at all from slightly above the full mark. It'll be in there til mid to late October. Somewhere between 5k and 6k miles.

Nice boots
Thanks! Redwing King Toe with BOA system. No laces coming loose.

Joys of wide feet and working in manufacturing where requirement includes non-slip, safety toe, waterproof. Buy once, cry once but comfort is worth it. Employer reimburses $100 yearly per pair.

I had to have phone further out to get it to focus and not move between camera portions. iPhone 16 Pro. Between light color of oil, glare etc it was not easy to get picture.

This oil has been in my 1.6 I-Dtec diesel about 100 miles. The last oil was in for about 8000 miles so I'm impressed with how clean this engine is running. Usually people just accept that diesel oil goes black pretty much straight away.

I changed the oil on Volvo XC90 at 140,177 miles & while adding new oil I forgot to close the fumoto drain valve (saw brand new oil going straight into the nasty catch pan). 😳

That threw me off on fill amount so ended up overfilled by one quart. I put on 1,012 miles overfilled, and came home today at 141,189 miles to fix that. Drained the extra quart and this is the result. Yes, me bonehead. 🤦‍♂️ 😂

Nice and level now, good thing is I was able to save at least 1 Quart of used low mile oil for top off (Mobil 1 FS 0w40).

Your Volvo has that angled curve at the oil level like mine does. :) You still have enough in the 2nd 5qt jug for top off? Or just what you reclaimed? I don't remember if yours consumes oil at all.

I had an already opened 5 qt jug of Mobil FS 0w-40 that I used first. Wasn't really paying attention to how much was in that jug since it was less than 5 qts (so I just dumped it in). I had just about finished that jug & realized I'd forgotten to close the fumoto valve. I had the car on ramps so just basically did a best guess on filling it back up. It was a hack job that I'm not proud of but I'll just look at it like a "flush" to get the old oil out.

The previous ODI, running FS 5w-40, I used a full 8 quarts & added 0.75 quart after 6,410 miles. That equates to 8,546 miles per 1 quart of oil burned/leaks. Soon as I get lab to rerun the oil for the TBN they didn't do I'll be posting my UOA very soon. ;)
