not to turn it into a revolution thread......but real regime change here means scrapping it all, not just who lives in the white house as we have operated the same way regardless of who is president

Guns, ammos, fuel, can opener, camping gears, SUVs, beers, engine oils, water, and lots of caffeine (tea bags).

it seems the japanese are slowly losing this battle. they think two reactor containment vessels are compromised, as well as a spent fuel pond boiling and possibly exposing the spent fuel that could leade to the fuel becoming critical.....not good

Deeply serious stuff:
From Twitter:
"Reuters: Some U.S. air crews in Japan given potassium iodide tablets ahead of missions as a precaution against radiation."

"EU energy chief: Japan situation out of control Catastrophic events could unfold in the next few hours at Japan’s damaged nuclear site"

^ So? We gave prophylactic Cipro when all that Anthrax was going around.

Remember, Japan had a couple large nuclear releases way back in 1945 and the US is doing just fine...

Same type? Same amount of fissionable material? Same chemical components and breakdown components? Same purity?

Not trying to hype or downplay. Trying to get the best of logical information to make a decent comparisson to previous situations.

WWII released a few pounds of Plutonian we are dealing with hundreds of tons. If those cores explode (thermally)...the world is History.

You know that's only half the story, right?

If we're going to worry, we need to know the odds that that will happen.
