Poor man's G35 coupe...

After years of leaving the 2 door midsize coupe market to the Accord, Monte Carlo, and Camry Solara, it looks like Nissan has finally decided to give them some competition. It doesn't have the G35 coupe's RWD, but it is still a less expensive alternative.

The Altima coupe comes with either the four door Altima's 2.5L I4 or 3.5L V6 and will have a 6-speed manual and CVT available with either engine.

This is the first Nissan I've liked the looks of in a long time- this one is free of the weird folds and creases in places that made no sense.

Any bets on a FWD, Fusion-based Thunderbird? What about an AWD Fusion-based T-bird with a manual tranmission? Bring back the early-90's SC in a slightly different form? Hmmmm

Keeping in mind some of Ford's other recent decisions, a 3.5L FWD Thunderbird wouldn't suprise me at all.

It looks good, but not as good as the G35 or the the 350Z. That's probably what they were going for.

Very nice side view I agree.

However the rear end is quite ugly. Also the front is the same boring Altima sedan front end.

I think it looks like a glorified Pontiac G6. But I still like my Altimas, my old '98 was bulletproof

This is the funniest thing I've read all day.

I like the side view. It bears a strong resemblance to the G35. I Googled it, too, and am impressed overall.
