Pondering HDEO for K5 GT

Kia K5 GT w/ 2.5L dual-injection turbo I4

Currently running Mobil 1 0w-40. I’m pondering the Euro vs the HDEO oils for the next change. Some specific oils would be Pennzoil Euro 5w-40. Stick with Mobil 1. Quaker State Euro 5w40. Rotella T6

Thoughts? She’s a fuel diluter. At 6k the oil smells of gas. I run premium to try to mitigate the amount of fuel, but GDI…

X amount of gas in the oil is still x amount of gas. Are you suggesting thicker?

6k intervals, yeah I’m wondering if I should be a bit thicker. 6k is factory oci

IMO you'll be much better off with a Euro oil with as many approvals you can find. The Shell products you listed would be ideal. Mobil 1 0w40 is loaded with calcium so not as optimal for GDI.

Mobil 1 0w-40 has at least 3100ppm of calcium if I'm not mistaken and if you haven't had an issue then i cant see how a CK rated oil with 2200ppm to 900ppm of calcium would hurt
