It's hard not to look like a blubbering idiot at work reading them. People wonder why I have tears. Leila joined us during some very dark days and is a joy every minute.

I don't make her do anything. She runs like the wind of her own accord and I desparately try to keep up. She's not leashed to my bike at any time. It's about -10C in that picture and she loooooves it. Happiest with snow and between -10C and -20C.

Did the OP mean to convey, "No more threads about dead or dying dogs"? ...hense the blubbering rreference?
Mrs. Kira can't bear any story involving the passing of a dog or cat.

A dead or dying pet is a powerful literary trope.
Does anyone remenber the Little Rascals episode where the kids think Petie (dog with the encircled eye) was gassed by the dog catcher?

oh geez...............................

Here's our boy working on a Chicago Transit bus. He's trained and registered as a service dog for my wife's health issues.

He's a Boston terrier mix rescued from Indiana. That spot on his head is known as a "Haggerty spot": "It traces back to the famous Haggerty family, who were renowned Boston Terrier breeders in the early 1900s. Dogs with this mark can usually trace their lineage back to this foundational line. ". Koda - meaning friend, companion, ally in native American. He's a blessing and HUGE quality of life enhancer for my wife. Bless him.
