To h e double hockey sticks with fashion.
I only wear cargo versions of pants or shorts.
Duluth and Carhartt are a bit pricey. I only buy Duluth
at mentioned sales. But their quality seems to be fading with the increased popularity.
I have been going with Wrangler Riggs Ranger cargo pants and Sportsman's Guide house brand.
The Wranglers are well wearing. But a little low riding on the hips. The SG I only started wearing recently. But they do have the elastic waist for fluncaiting waist lines!
Around $30 dollars a pair on sale.

I like Duluth firehose ultimate cargo but they are very heavy duty and hot.

I also have some Duluth Stretch "dry on the fly" cargo that I like better and can wear all year.

Columbia has very lightweight cargos I wear in excessively hot weather. Its about as close to shorts as you can get..
you can actually feel a breeze through them.

Wrangler Riggs workwear is a decent heavier cargo but not as comfortable or hot as the duluth firehose flex.

I suggest trying some on.

The columbia cargos were my favorite.. their worst point is the hip pockets are fairly shallow.

Duluth Flex Cargo Pants.

For most people, they should last 10-15 years. No tradesman is going to get more than a year out of anything. But I would STILL buy DT clothing if I were a tradesman. Most comfortable clothing there is.
