Finally had the time to take some pictures of the truck since repairs were made.

The entire bed has been straightened and repainted, the tailgate and rear bumper are new, and the back cab corners as well as the half doors have been repainted.

The fiberglass bed cover is new as well.

Both sides of the bed were painted. This shows the quality of the work that was done on my truck.

Unfortunately, due to a hard drive crash, I lost many of the pictures of it when it was wrecked (it's not really anything I want to remember anyway). However, here's a few pictures of what was left of the tailgate.

The tailgate was bent at nearly a 45 degree angle from the impact.

What ugly front?

I have a Dodge guy critical of the front end on my truck?

(Just kidding...)

Honestly, I bought it used. It wasn't my first choice. I did what I could with the billet insert. It does help.

I love how that generation of silverado's looked. Not super high/lifted like the new Ram's are, but lower more tasteful.

Looks good! Both as the truck and the repairs.

Love the color! I saw a Vette yesterday that color and in the bright sun it is sharp.

Glad that they repaired it correctly. It used to be once something was hit, you could NEVER get it back to the original condition.

Same with my Subaru, you can not tell where it was hit and the hard to match paint is perfect in ANY light.

Thanks for the photos!

Gosh, I don't know... I'm drawing a blank on why you thought that.

It is definitely Sport Red

. My Dad's Sierra is red with a dark grey bottom.

The only thing that I can think of is that Bill in Utah's GMC pickup is white. He posted pictures of it when he bought it (with his dog in most of them).

Could that be it?

And I use it to build houses. It's nearly a full time job to keep it looking that nice.

I forgot to mention that the front windows are tinted at 35%. The pictures don't do a good job in showing that. The other glass is factory tinted at 20%.

I'm going insane; I thought BIU posted the O.T.

Blood Sport Red would be a better name

Nice truck, glad it's fixed.

Like the tires as well, a guy at my work had the same on his Sporttrac. They had over 100,000 miles on them.

Oh man -- you guys are really trying to convince me to pay $200/tire for the LTX M/S when I need tires within the next 12 months. I keep hearing these stories of them going for 100k miles.

Sorry to get off topic, but I did notice his wise choice of tires as well.

In the size that my Silverado takes (P255-70-16) the LTX is actually priced very competitively against tires of similar quality, plus I was able to take advantage of a $70/set rebate.

It made my decision even that much easier.

The tint does make the truck look better then it already does...The law here is 15% in the rear and 25% for the front 2 windows...Most here [even myself] have 15% all around and a lower the normal strip on the top of the windsheild.

I only know of only one person down here who got a ticket for dark tint [Miami Dade PD] as he had limo tint [5%] all around.
