After watching South Main Auto, I finally decided to get a legit scan tool. I will use it tomorrow on the boy's 2003 Duramax. Looks really nice. Can't wait to try it out. Also does ABS bleeding.

Questions, does it also have a wired connection to the obd port? If it is similar to what Pine hollow does, there are times when wireless is not recommended, like module updates.
Is it plug and play no jumping through hoops to pull it from the box and go to work?
If you desire to not do up dates do they shut down some of its functionality, like bidirectional, I know there used to be some that did that.

Unlock by facial recognition? And they think that is a good thing? Its a tool it does not need any other hassle like a password to use it.
And a camera to send a photo to the out fit it connects to, when and if wifi or internet connection is ever needed.

I have not gotten that far yet. It is charging right now. I am going to use it tomorrow. It does look like it has a wired connection to the one II port.

I was also wanting to grab it at the additional $100 off recently -- but I didn't.

These are....Launch? Or Xtool based?

It says Android. Maybe I'm not understanding your question. You can get right to the internet from the tablet. It has no password or facial recognition as far as I can tell. Just click the icon and go right to the diagnostics screen.

Great buy, and I am sure you will find unplanned usage many times for your T10.

An example, I purchased a second key for my Wife's 2014 RDX from the closest Acura dealer, 90 miles away. I was surprised when I made it home and tested the FOB and it didn't work. Started doing research, and the dealer didn't include FOB programming as part of the sale. More research pointed to a special "tool" to program the FOB. Just for fun, I went and saw if my scan tool would program the FOB. Sure enough, my scan tool was able to program the FOB.

Wow, still no coverage for Toyota. I service several Toys. I'm not gonna drop ~$1600 plus a potential $300+ per year (yes, I realize these numbers are relatively modest in this world) to not have Toyota coverage.

I'd sooner add to that $1600 to get something else. Glad I saw this in this vid (@ approx 21:50 -- but the screenshot above is directly from HF's website TODAY)

^also that guy was given the tablets so not unbiased at all

I messed around with a bit on the Trans Am today, waiting on the Duramax, that is another story for another time, as I want my son to be here to see what I do. I really like it. Easy to use. Yes, it has facial recognition if you activate it. This thing is a tablet so you can access the web and any accounts you have so I understand why people may enable a password or the facial recognition. It is easy to use, and it has a built-in demo that is really nice. Did a software update this morning. It was fast. I probably didn't need this, but it will be nice to have.

It is super easy to read to. I like the big screen. It also can be used hard wired to the OBD II port or via Bluetooth.

Found out the upstream o2 sensor and MAF voltages are way out on the Trans Am. I am now certain it needs a MAF. Supposed to be 1 to 5 volts at idle it near 11. May explain some of my idle and certainly my rich condition.

And can you use it right out of the box, no giving your lifes history, address etc etc to who knows, likely off shore some place? Old high end scan tools do not need a battery to work they can use the cars battery. It would be bad to be using a tool with only its own source of power while doing a ECU update or what ever, and have the battery poo out during it. 😧
