Picked up an ICON T10

Consider a 12+8 SGW bypass cable or Star connector bypass if you don't want to pay for an Autel TCP + AutoAuth
AutoAuth claims HF scan tools support MB/Stellantis/Nissan SGW

How's it treating you after the new tool smell wore off @ls1mike
Still recommend?
I still like it. It has been really helpful with the boy's Duramax. It reads balance rates, requested and actual fuel rail pressure. You can shut each cylinder down individually. It is the best tool I have. Helped us get his truck running nice and smooth.

Are you saying with firsthand experience that the Icon T10 will work on recent Chrysler vehicles (a '23 Jeep in particular) with an SGW bypass cable, no autoauth subscription, and no connection to the internet?

I cannot say that, as I don't own any Icon brand scan tools
However, $13 for the bypass cable is a fairly low cost gamble for the sake of experimentation

Depending on the location for your particular vehicle, the $20 cable that lets you tap in at a STAR connector might be more convenient

If neither of those suit you, there's always the $60 annual AutoAuth charge 🤷‍♂️

I have the 12+8 cable. The gamble would be buying a $1700 T10 to see if it works. I assume no internet connection = no connection to autoauth = no authorization even if I have an autoauth subscription. But will it work with no subscription, no internet connection, and just the bypass cable. I have asked this numerous places, even Icon customer service, and no one seems to know.

There's a long list of supported scan tools with AutoAuth, some lower priced than others
AlfaOBD is another option
You're far out with no ability to hotspot off your phone?

I need an afternoon with an '18+ Stellantis product to experiment with AutoAuth proper vs the various bypass cables
