Crazy talk is what they were saying. Both the S-10 and Ranger are excellent trucks and run forever. I prefer the way the S-10/Sonoma drives, but wouldn't hesitate to buy either.

Nothing wrong with an S-10. I had two over the years. An '88 and a '96. Both excellent trucks. Decent gas mileage too.

If you go back to the topic, it is about buying a BEATER truck.
Therefore, make or model should be irrelevant.
It should all be about CONDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION!
If one is lucky enough to pick up a truly decent truck for they should be all over it regardless of make or model.
