If I'm not mistaken, this 5W30 is their bread-n-butter oil. I appreciate the offer, but for the time being, I'll have to respectfully decline. I hate dealing with Customs

The product code is ASL for the regular full synthetic.

As far as customs goes

, you don't have to deal with it. Pay with a credit card and it comes out of either the Toronto or Edmunton warehouse whichever one is close.

Everything is taken care of for you. Just to let you know.

Patman -> Just curious as to why you choose to buy the Supreme 7000 over other Schaeffer products?

Terry -> If they every have this kind of vote, expect me to be at the front-of-the-line to vote YES

Unfortunately, Canada is too heavy on this "culture" thing

msparks -> I'm closer to Toronto. Are you sure Canadian retailers will not get ticked coz' I'm buying from an American source? Please email me your prices for 5W30 ASL and 75W90 gear oils (for my tranny) at [email protected]

Thanks,

Oz

Oz, what other Schaeffers products are you referring to? I wanted 10w30, so that is my only choice. I didn't want the 5w30, and even if I did, I'd probably still go with the blend over the synthetic, since the blend already has proven itself to be good for long intervals.

As far as Amsoil goes, the warehouse is just a few miles up the road from me actually, just near the Toronto airport. So anyone ordering Amsoil in the Toronto area would be silly to order it from the US.

Terry, I really don't understand why things are still so difficult when it comes to sending across our border. I also thought that the Free Trade Agreement would eventually mean we wouldn't have to pay insane custom's fees when bringing stuff over also. Guess not. I hate politicians!

Pat, Amsoil would not ship any orders from a US wharehouse. And any dealer can sell to Canda, or USA as long as the orders are shipped factory direct.

(I wouldn't mess with the headache of getting it across the border!)

Wow, that converts to $2.51 and $5.03.

A little high on the full synth, though that's what Mobil 1 is going for, but the Group III is 1/2 the price of the Group IV, which is in line with what it actually cost to make it.

Wish we could find some more honest oil companies.

$32.00 for petro-can synthetic or $35.00 for delvac 1? you pick.

I read on another thread that Walmarts Tech 2000 oil here in Canada is made by Petro Canada. The tech 2000 synthetic oil is the same as the Petro Canada synthetic. It is about $21.00 CDN for 4.4 L. You can sometimes get it for cheaper on sale. Someone also posted a good UOA for a Mazda using the tech 2000 oil

all signs point to tech 2000 being made by safety-kleen and that it is a recycled oil. not necessary a bad oil, i've used it with no ill effects.

you seem to have a definite conclusion that the synthetic is made by petro-can, how do you come to that?

if you want what is basically rebadged petro-canada maximum oil, look for XR4 in napa stores. it's distributed by mustang lubricants but the oil is made by p-c.
