I just flushed my AT and power steering using Petro-Canada Duradrive MV Synthetic ATF, and I could not be happier. Not only it was over a $1 cheaper than Castrol Import MV ATF at Walmart (which was the next best price), but it is synthetic. I would never know about it if it wasn't for Overkill posting his positive experience with it, thanks man

My transmission was shifting fine before on Castrol Import MV, but the downshift from 3rd to 2nd was getting a bit "rough" under some circumstances. The flush made it smooth again.

The biggest difference Petro-Canada made was in my power steering. The electric pump always made this "hum", since new that I could hear at idle in the cabin, it is normal on all MZ3's. But now it is dead quiet, I only hear a faint hum with the hood open and standing directly over the engine bay.

So, for all Canadians, take a look at this great product at a great price, especially since we have a limited number of choices and prices are too high for other products.

Great to hear about another positive Petro-Canada experience!

I've gotta grab another case of it, then I'll be doing a full flush (did a drain and fill) and my PS system, which still has M1 in it for now.

Petro-Canada is really on the ball with their offerings.

They're not wasting time or effort with 'high mileage' oils, or '15k' oils...they just produce high-quality oil products that meet manufacturer needs, pure and simple.

I've been running Mobil 1 Mercon V rated ATF since 2006. Since that formulation is no longer available I was relieved to hear of Petro-Canada product.

I've bookmarked their web site and plan to use it for my next ATF change.

I looked for this at my local Wal Mart (Newmarket) a week ago and couldn't find it. I want to use it in my BMW and want to get the fluid change done this coming week. Any comments re location (which Wal Mart) greatly appreciated.

i called a few WalMart and none of them carry it. i believe KrisZ means the price at Petro-Can dealer is better than Castro at Walmart. check Petro-Canada's web site for lubricant dealers around you!

Emailed PetroCanada and got hold of a case (12x1L) of Duradrive MV ATF from a local distributor (had to drive 35kms 1 way to get it).

Will try it in my wifey's 04 Camry which calls for AWS-3309.

Yes, I meant PC ATF is cheaper than Castrol ATF at WM. Before finding PC ATF, Castrol ATF from WM was the cheapest multi-vehicle ATF I could find, sadly Petro-Canada products are not carried by major retailers in Canada.

Also, like Overkill suggests, try e-mailing Petro-Canada if you have trouble locating the distributor yourself, use the "contact us" link on their website.

Thanks. I emailed Petro-Canada per website and received a reply within hours. They have a distributor about 10 minutes from where I live. Price quoted was $5.69/litre although they only sell by the case (12 one-litre bottles) which is fine with me. Going to pick up a case tomorrow. Distributor had 4 cases in stock. I think the price is terrific for a full-synthetic ATF.

I was quoted $37+tax for 6Q of this fluid @ a local dealer in San Jose, CA.

Less than $1/Q wrt Mobil1 MV ATF.

How does this ATF stack up against venerable fluids like M1 ATF?
