Went to a PepBoys yesterday and saw that they now have Pennzoil Ultra. Ridiculously expensive though. $8.XX per quart.

Do they carry it in larger jugs or was it just individual quarts? That price does seem a bit high, isn't that even more than what they charge for Royal Purple? I think AAP sells RP for $7.99 a quart. That sounds even more expensive than Mobil 1 EP!

Heh. I'm often the same way, though I'll check their sales circular for specials -- they were selling 5 quarts of M1EP and an M1 filter for $29 last time I was there. That's a pretty darned good deal, and beats Walmart's prices.

I wish the other parts shops (e.g. AutoZone, as they're located quite near me) sold Purolator filters.

So far only in quarts. Yes AAP has RP for around $8.

I also had trouble with a mail-in rebate; the counter guy wouldn't let me buy something despite the coupon's saying "all part numbers" or some such language. The next day, I drove to a different location which cheerfully accepted my coupon with no problem.

I won't be back to the first location ever.

Their prices on Motorcraft filters are good, less than what they charge at Wal-Mart.

Don't forget... PepBoys does price matching on competitors' advertised prices - actually I think they'll beat any competitor's advertised price by 5%. (check their website-I believe it is listed there)

I don't like PB's everyday prices, but the price match deals help me get the most out of the O'Reilly, AZ, & AAP sale ads!

Oil is always a bit more expensive at PebBoys. $8 is inline for other premium synthetics, such as RP/M1.

They sell PP for either $7.49 or 7.99 qt. (can't remember LOL)

They raised Kendall Titanium Synthetic to $5.49 from $4.99

Their current special of 5 qt's M1 EP w/M1 oil filter for $29.99 is a good deal IMO

I try to shop them all. I picked up a couple of (5) quart jugs of Pennzoil Ultra for the cars, at $28.00 a piece at Wal-Mart. I usually just buy oil there.

I try to buy my oil filters at the other places, or watch the circulars for specials. I like Bosch, AZ sells them.

There are good deals, now and then. I wish one place, could do it all.

I agree, $8.49 is an excessive price for a quart of oil, even it is a great oil.

You guys think that $8.49 a qt is expensive?? try coming up here to Wally World in Canada and you`ll see expensive $11.95 a qt and $36.99 a jug. Talk about getting raped..

Thats what I closely paid for Amsoil 5W-30 full syn at my local hardware store. $11.99 for a qt and around $38 for a jug.
