Jeez, that makes what I paid online for M1 5W30 ESP sound almost reasonable...I was wondering if the PUP was going to become more common with Pearl GTL plant up, doesn't seem to have happened yet.

A six-pack of quarts? $12 a quart??

What possible incremental value do you get over what is available for less than half the price?

Highway robbery. Don't buy it at exhorbitant costs.

That's more than the price of imported premium German or French synthetics( GR IV/V) with Porsche approvals.

So I should keep the 6-gallon Ecobox of PUP 5w-30 that I got off E-Bay for $110 a few months ago in an undisclosed, secure location?

I'm always at a loss regarding the marketing and distribution of PUP. One local Pep Boys store carries it regularly in single bottle 0w-20 and 5w-20 flavors ( with no jugs ) for $9.49/qt. As far as I can tell, there isn't another auto parts store or retail outlet in my county ( with over a million in population ) that sells it in any form.

It works in SOPUS' favor that the "unicorn tear" quality attached to this stuff would drive some kind of holy grail that would have it as something significantly different than regular PP. I've used it...it's fine...if it's worth the online price premium to you then it is. How much "boutique" quality can be attributed to it versus PP might be another story...

And often goes on sale for nearly half that, so around $26 CAD which is $19 US. Hmm, maybe I should start bringing it down by the truckload.

I've never seen this oil that cheap at CT. They always have something else on sale. I would love to pick some of this up at $26/jug... I go the cheaper route and grab PP.
