Mobil's marketing is much better than the other companies IMO. They state the facts of who uses their product, such as 50% of Nascar, and liste the OEM's that recommend Mobil 1. They don't attack other brands either.
What more do you want? Would you rather have a 4 ball wear test graph or torture test like Castrol?
All they have to do is list the endorsements which speak for itself. The Vegas test was very "real world". Do you think it was fake? Obviously they weren't going to put an hour long video up there of every step they took in the process.
The Vegas test was so much of a waste and we have talked about it before.
It proved that you can take conventional oil out to 15k OCIs in a taxi and make it to 120k.
If Mobil 1 EP is so good, Since they took the conventional oil out 3 times further than normal, I want them to take the Mobil 1 EP out to 45k and 240k miles. Then lets see the results.
ANY test should go to 200k before it has ANY facts for me. Any miles before 200k is easy.
That test caused me to dislike Mobil 1 more. Just like the Castrol "dyno" test...
