Pennzoil Platinum, Amsoil XL

If you google the term "HTO-06" on site: www.acura.com it doesn't even come up. I think the whole HTO-06 thing was just pretty much a media blitz for Exxon-Mobil and Acura.

I've never seen a published list of what oils meet HTO-06. If PP 5w30 says it meets it on the bottle and/or on the website, I'd say it meets it.

In trying to keep things in perspective here, if you are going to order Amsoil, order the PAO/Ester stuff. XL is great oil, but so are all the other API SM oils found on the shelf at Walmart. Not sure what you gain by using Amsoil XL. PP is highly regarded by Terry and has a very unique additive package that is similar to GC.

I just ordered a case of XLM for winter use. We get temps below -30 Celcius, which turns dino into solid. I suppose I could of gone with the ASM, but it was more money and I don't plan on leaving it longer then 7.5k.

I can't find PP in 5w20 in any of the box/chain stores, so I suppose I would need to go to napa and pay a premium for it, otherwise it would of been a toss up and the cheaper of the two would of won
