I had to almost wipe the tears on Emmitt Smiths retirement speach. The NFL sure will miss Smith!

Its time! Will the Pats break a ton of records tonight with a win or will Philly upset?

Game on!!!!!

Amkeer-I hope you have a great day. I have not seen someone so excited about a super bowl before.

Just love the sport and having my team on the verge of dynasty makes it intense. Its extremely difficult for your team to get to a Superbowl or Championship so I have learned to enoy it while you can, also see Celtics and Bruins. Although I think Boston has pretty much covered the field in sports the past couple of years with winners. Consider both teams in the Superbowl are owned by Bostonians. The Red Sox won with a Boston manager. The Tampa Bay Lightning franchise won the Stanley last year with a Head Coach from Boston. Then you have Boston College.....I can remember as a kid going to the Boston Garden to watch the Bruins play 1973-1975 with Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito when they had no helmets.

I would look up at awe at the rows of Championships banners from the Celtics. What was it 9 straight Championships in a row?

I guess its a Boston thing since traveling around other parts of the country and living away from Boston I can see how much pride Bostonians have for sports. I can honestly say its unmatched anywhere else.

I will enjoy the success of the Patriots while it lasts.

Amkeer,

Since you seem to know a little about he PATS

, what do you think of their future with the Offensive and Defensive coaches leaving?

At this point I don't know what will happen considering both Weis and Crennel are the best coordinators out there. They will hire within so I would think Belichik will have a good grasp on things. As a Pats fan I have the utmost respect in Bill as well as Pioli decisions. They have proven to be very good decision makers.

Everyone says that about their home town teams.

Eagles are looking into Plexico Burgess and drafting a good running back. I think we will be back next year. Pats and Eagles are the two top organizations in the NFL IMO and are built to last the way they operate.

Buster,

Who can say that though? Who? Tell me now cause I am all eyes....

We have 2001 Patriots, 2003 Patriots, 2004 Patriots, all World Champions. Bill Belichik passing the great Vince Lombardi with a 10-1 playoff record. Tom Brady passing the great Bart Starr as the winningest quarterback ever in playoffs. The Patriots winning 34 games in 2 seasons a new NFL record. The Pats have the longest winning streak in NFL History at 21 games straight.

The Celtics Championships
• 1956-57
• 1958-59
• 1959-60
• 1960-61
• 1961-62
• 1962-63
• 1963-64
• 1964-65
1965-66
• 1967-68
• 1968-69
• 1973-74
• 1975-76
• 1980-81
• 1983-84
• 1985-86

Patriots:
2001
2003
2004

Boston Bruins:
1928
1938
1940
1970
1971

Red Sox:
1903
1912
1915
1916
1918
2004

Those are all the World Championships won. I could add in playoffs and championship games played in and it would be a huge list, but I think those don't matter.

Nice list oldman, but the longest run the Yankees had was 5 years straight to the Celtics 13. In any event impressive. New York is definitely up there with Boston hence the intense rivalry.

New York Yankees 26 - 1923, 1927, 1928, 1932, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941, 1943, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962, 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000
