People forgot about the 4DSC back in 04 or 05, when the Maxima grew significantly. Otherwise it was just right in size.
Anyway, I remember my mom's 1985 Maxima well, for both good and bad reasons.
What was good was the engine, and the elements of Tron and Knight Rider in parts of the cars.
What was bad was the Alternator, Starter, P/S rack, CV joints, A/C system, and the idiotic way the stuff was laid out under the hood, multiplying the cost of repair.
The timing belt failure was the end of that car, that is why I passionately hate timing belts.
Every Max from 1985 through 1988 was the same way.
