parking at Target

I always park in the order pick up spots. My local Target has 24 of these premium spots right in front of the entrance and I never see anyone ever parked in them. So, when I have to buy something from Target, I always get front row parking.

I can see these spots were probably utilized some during covid, but to have 24 of them four years after covid, and to make customers park farther out is ridiculous. They should have five at most these days. I will wait for you guys to call me a self centered individual, LOL.

Those spots here are always full with cars circling to get an empty one and there is always 2 employees under a pop up tent getting people's stuff.

I finally figured out that sheetz "numbered" parking spots are also regular parking spots.

I didnt know where to park because its a gas station and literally 16 of their 20 spaces are marked for food pickup.

24 spots at target seems ludicrous.. esp if 23 are empty. I say no harm/no foul.

I don't like parking near the front of the entrance of any busy store. The back 40 is where I like to park. I hate door dings on my ride and the extra walking is a good thing for me. Its funny for me seeing all the people driving around the parking lots for minutes to get that space near the door. There is a lot of them.

I have a buddy with a new Ranger Raptor - slight mods and running 35’s … He also has a Porsche 911 - and I tell him don’t go parking that long doored car close to that nice truck

I think the only truly enforceable parking spots are disabled permit spots, everything else is technically a suggestion.

The excercise would do you good by parking where you are supposed to. If everyone thought as you, there would be no spots available. What you did is being lazy and narcissistic.

An observation from the local Walmart parking lot;

I park in the back 40 of a huge lot for the same reasons mentioned already. I've noticed that way out there the oil stains in the parking spots are nonexistant or faint. As you get closer to the store the stains become more pronounced with the ones nearest the door almost soaking the parking slots. This might mean those needing to walk more drive older leaky vehicles. Maybe they are in the store looking for high mileage motor oil?

What I find amusing is one store by me has 12 pickup spots(and 4 handicap spots)
and the pickup spots are closer than the handicap spots.

needless to say the handicap overflows to the pickup spots during busy times.

The stalls closest to the store were parked in more times than the ones far from the store, quantity makes the stalls more oily.

My local Harris Teeter grocery store has several ‘ parents with children ‘ parking spots. Last week I let my wife out at the front door to pick up a couple of items and was waiting for her in one of those spots. When she came out she said you’re not supposed to park here. I told her I had 2 children, ( ages 53 and 50 ) . Probably won’t do it again but she did chuckle about it.
