Outlook Express opens/closes - windows update

Updated my windows XP last night. 9 security updates and malicious software removal updates.

Now Outlook express opens for about 2 seconds then instantly closes. Have searched the microsoft site and googled this problem and get no real hits.

Can anybody point me in the direction of a solution? I really need access to my emails.

I can open it 5 times and I will see 5 instances opening in the taks manager under "processes" then they all disappear. I think the malicious software removal updates downloaded see this as malicious software?

Does MS just want me to upgrade my Outlook Express and are forcing me by disabling my old version?

About the only thing I found on this was if you are still running Internet Explorer 6 that may do it...

I was mistaken.

Yet another Apple/iTunes incompatibility with windows.

The latest version of iTunes updates did in my Outlook. Got it working again.

Found the unlikely soluion on Apple's site.
