I was searching around to find a list of oils and their specs and came across this:

http://themotoroilevaluator.com/

wondering if anybody has ever been on there? I registered to see their list of oil specs. They don't have anything listed as far as the add packs, but have TBN, NOACK, etc... in their charts.

The domain comes up with the following ownership info

He appears to be an oil dealer...

I suspect it's a front page to drive traffic to the domain listed in his e-mail.

I posted a bunch of things on the sister site to that a couple days ago and it said it needed admin approval.

I bet I don't get it.

It looks a little dated.

**I also did a similar post and it got deleted.

Some of their numbers are plain wrong. They had Delvac 1 (all 3 types) with a HTHS of 2.9. They are all ~4 and are required as diesel type oils to be at least 3.5.

Looking at the tool(which is poorly done and wieghted off of subjective assumptions) and the forum traffic I call that a dead in the water site. No new posts and he is an Amsoil Dealer .

#'s are wrong and he is an Amsoil dealer. I love how he makes up numbers for some of the oils. Ridiculous.

FWIW, I got in just fine. His database IS terribly awkward to use, but using it to compare oils is a heck of a lot easier than wading through a bazillion posts using the BITOG search tool!

OTOH, if you've found bogus data....

Wasn't Kaufman the guy who wrote a book a few years back titled "The Motor Oil Bible?"
