Opposite of the Luxo-Truck, I saw one of these today in the wild.

It would be a sacrilege to put the El Camino nameplate on that abomination.

Reminds me of a Rampage.

I really like the looks, then again, I've never bought a pickup. I think there's a need for this-- bring back an updated LUV.

It is pretty ugly, and 104 hp? The Rampage of 22+ years older had almost that much (only 8 hp less). My brother had a Rampage for awhile. It was handy for hauling mulch and stuff....

A Prius with the El Camino treatment wouldn't be a bad rendition of the modern day VW Caddy - which was basically a Golf pickup. Ford should make a pickup version of the Transit Connect.

We have and had a lot of these type of pick-ups here:

Volkswagem Saveiro
Fiat Strada
Fiat Fiorino
Peugeot Hoggar
Chevrolet Montana
Ford Courier

Here is the Saveiro from 1982 vs 2019

I belive that the first ones came with the beettle aircooled engine. They existed and never stopped production since 1982

Depends on what you want to do with it.

For me, it's a suburb dweller's tool. I'd haul gas cans, the occasional hardware store run, or toss my bicycle back there to drive to the trail head.

If I were towing a big trailer or similar, then yes, Wrong Wheel Drive. But for my suburb dwelling needs, it, or something like it would be perfect.
