Opinions re Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires

I am looking to install Michelin Primacy MXV4 H speed rating in 205/65x15 size on my 95 BMW 525i.

I am removing my Michelin Exalto A/S V speed rated after 63,000 miles. Still have 4 to 5/32 of tread left. Starting to crack and rubber seems to be getting harder.

I want a smoother riding tire. My butt is getting older

Opinions?

I don't own the MXV4 but, they're rated as a top performer by Consumer Reports and do quite well at the Tire Rack Testing and Customer Reviews.

The MXV4's have been discussed here in the recent past with favorable comments but, you'd have to search for the thread or wait for others to chime in.

Personaly, I think this is what you're looking for in a tire

I'm on my 3rd set of Primacies of the MX series:

1st was on an 04 Infiniti G35. They were good riding and had decent wear.

2nd was OEM on my 2010 SHO. Good riding and quiet. Got 52k out of them. Could have gone further but they were near the tread bars and the performance in snow was scary.

3rd was the replacement for the tires on my SHO. Can't beat a 60k treadwear warranty on 20's (the others were 40k or none) and combined with previous good experience I figured why not.

So I'd say they are good tires. Probably not the best but very good.

Dono on that one - previous tires on the G were the OEM summers and Avons from Tire Rack (Not good). With the good experiences Iv'e had with the Michelilns I'm not sure I'd change.

My cousin has a '95 BMW 530(not 525 I6 but still the 5 series) This 530 has one of the few years that BMW installed a 3.0 V8. I believe he's running Primacy MXV4's. He wouldn't run anything but Michelin's on this car
