Your only other alternative is a Ford Expedition. The 3.5 Ecoboost makes plenty of power and will tow 9,000 pounds.

I am researching Expeditions, I never owned Ford, general sentiment summarization for Ecoboost is negative, but honestly sentiment for GM is now the same - negative.

Aside from general sentiment, Ford paints their frames. GM dips theirs on some sort of wax and it doesn't hold up as well as paint.
Also, Ford is now into the 3rd Generation of the 3.5 Ecoboost and has addressed most of the problems with the previous generations.
