Opinions on this Kohler standby generator?

I found that part from just Googling and finding a document stating the updated part, but I'm wondering @k1xv if you call the main Generac number, will they tell you that same information? Would be an interesting test

Kohler are supreme to Generac, but I do wonder if it will be harder finding Kohler parts in the long run, just because there are less of them out there
I was relying on my contractor, which does everything from solar installations to well servicing, to installing heat pumps, to servicing heating systems, to general plumbing, generator installation and maintenance. They supposedly source their Generac parts directly from Generac. They have done service on my home for 20 years. Sounds like somebody somewhere screwed up.

Yup - see them at some of our office buildings …
There's a tower in my city and it has both a kohler and a generac generator inside a fenced in area with a big antenna. I think it's a 911 dispatch communication tower or something. Every city around here has one.

Are you able to post or send me the SN of your unit? I'd love to call in and see what the main Generac number says, for science!

We have two fridges and a freezer - one strategy we just adopted was to only use the freezer space in both fridges for food - now the freezer is full of ice packs, frozen jugs, bags of ice, and frozen bottles - serves many purposes in normal life and backup …
We rely on a WGen9500DF - so that freezer no longer needs to be on the generator if we lost power (which is only ever hours, not days)
Lots of folks had lines broke by trees with Beryl - we buried ours years ago - so there are a number of small things that help …
