I hate to do it, but in response to this problem I am running Ad-Blocker Plus addon for firefox. Now I don't see anybody's advertisements.

Perhaps other sponsors would rather I saw their ads and might pressure the ownership to make a rule about these drop-down style ads?

Yeah, those ads are annoying. Everytime I got o click on the link from a forum to go back to the main list I open it. Guarantees I wont give pennzoil any money, I will go out of my way to not give them money now.

I don't mind the mouseover ads. I haven't yet accidentally swung over it.

Seeing as the ORIGINAL thread was closed, I'll add my displeasure here too.

It's annoying, really annoying.

Every other add takes an intentional action to pop up, but putting a "wave your pointer here for pop-up" is the sort of infantile action that I'd not tolerate from my 7 year old when trying to get her brother to do something.

No.

The ORIGINAL thread on the pop down ad is here (started on 4-6-2010)

The one that I closed started on 4-11-2010.

This one is still open and it started 4-09-2010.

It will be locked so we can keep everything under one thread.

So the original one is still open.
