Oil price at local socal toyota

exactly... that or the Wholesale Clubs I belong to.. I've been getting Mobil Delvac for my Cummins for 10 bucks a gallon at BJ's and I just bought 2 five quart jubs of 5 30 Kirkland synthetic for 30.99 at Costco... but I use walmart too, just depends.
I personally do not belong to any of those wholesale clubs, but assuming you use them for actual shopping and get your moneys worth out of the membership then yea I would say they are probably a good option as well.

Is Kirkland cheaper than Supertech?

Walmart's SuperTech Full Synthetic is highly respected here on BITOG, and that is the only oil I use.
It's available for $21.48 for a 5 quart jug at Walmart. The Walmart SuperTech full synthtic oil is made by a company called Warren Oil,
which is highly regarded and has a long history.

I was in Walmart the other day and Supertech was over $26 a jug.

I'm referring to the Walmart Supertech 10,000 mile 5 quart jug for High Mileage Full synthetic 5W-30 and 5W-20.
$21.48 is the online price in the US.
Perhaps you saw the 20,000 Advanced version of the Walmart Supertech for $26.
I did some reading online about their 20,000 mile forumula - seems to be the same as the 10,000 mile formula for the most part, no benefit to paying the extra money for it.

I prefer never to pay a fee (like a membership fee) as then it takes away from your savings.
I prefer Walmart online shopping. No fees at all, as long as your order is over $35, Walmart's shipping is free and fast.

I only used toyota oil when the dealership sent me 39.99 oil change coupons. Then it was worth it.
Otherwise I can buy an OEM oil kit (5qts and a filter) on ebay for like 49.99 free shipping, and that was for 0w16 when it was brand new and no one else had it. Now its probably cheaper. Plenty of back stock of oil and filters "goes missing" every day.

But if you don't care about OEM, I just buy what ever decent filter I can find locally with valvoline 25$ for 5qt. Never get over 30$+tax on an oil change.

See sig for a long time toyota owner who has (scammed) "abused" their system for decades.

Toyota = never pay msrp. haggle like you are a thief.

Also, I saw you have a 2017 camry, thats the 2ar-fe or the 2gr-fe, (or fks, but I doubt it), use 5w30 or 0w30 past 100k miles.

is Kirkland cheaper? sometimes when they have it on sale otherwise it is similar in price to Walliemart. You can be in any of these stores and they happen to have a deal on certain things,,, like a 4 gallon box of Delvac 1300 for 39.99. I dont actually belong to these wholesale clubs in order to save money on oil, Walmart being competitive but the cost of membership amortizes on purchases of larger amounts of other things. I think my saving on Rock Salt alone pay for my Sams Club membership . I use one bag per week for my softener, and Sams sells a 10% bigger bag about ten percent cheaper than Walliemart so over the course of a year it saves me the equivalent of the $45 yearly fee.

Who in their right mind goes to a dealership expecting pricing in line with Walmart?

I just did an oil change last night, previous one was by a Toyota dealer. Missing three screws that hold the front plastic to the skid plate are missing, skid plate bolts way too tight and the filter housing (plastic) was cranked onso tight the Earth stopped spinning for a second when I finally broke it free ! Lesson learned. STAY AWAY from STEALERSHIPS !

After looking through just about every place in my area that sells motor oil, everything from walmart to napa to online rock auto, walmart is by far the cheapest by 25% OR MORE.

This is just what they have online and will probably deliver for free (or you can just pick it up)
Even Royal purple is cheaper PER 1QT than anything any other place has, autozone STARTS at 10$ a qt for no name brand oil, and don't get me started on rock auto that wants to sell by the 6qt without a discount.

Don't see why anyone would go to a dealer when "premium gucci royal purple" (or so BITOG says) costs under 40$ for 5qt jug.

FULL SYNTH 5w301qt5qt
Super Tech$ 5.28$ 19.98
Chevron Supreme$ 4.58$ 22.90
Quaker State$ 5.72$ 22.97
Valvoline Advanced$ 8.98$ 26.97
Penzoil Full Synth$ 7.66$ 26.44
Castrol EDGE Advanced/HM$ 8.88$ 28.94
Mobil1 Advanced/HM$ 8.78$ 26.97
Royal Purple HP$ 9.07$ 37.56
Mobile1 Extended Protection$ 9.67

I just go there for the filters. The dealer sells filters cheaper than Walmart. I was just reporting the price to the people on here.

I'm about to put in Castrol Edge next week. Got 5 quarts for 28 dollars at Walmart

good question. The funny thing is some things are cheaper at the dealer than they are at the auto parts.. but not oil and filters. :)

Mobil 1 EP is $2 cheaper per 5 quart jug at Walmart, and it's a better product. 💯
Trying out Castrol this time. I've used M1 AFE the past year. Castrol seems to have a nice mix of euro and American approvals
