I used to run Pennzoil conventional OCI’s in my Jeep for less than if I had bought it at Walmart using that trick, and DG was just a few blocks away.

Speaking of filters (and oil) I just got back from Menards. Walmart being picked over is definitely showing up. I was in last week and they were fully stocked, Today they still had stock but it had definitely been hit. I managed to find three Purolators for the Edge with wide open louvers so I bought them. Quaker State Full Synthetic was actually on sale for a dollar off plus rebate but I used restraint and passed.
Hopefully I don't get lashed for bumping this, but DG may be yeeting those PG filters. Stopped at the one location locally that actually has oil filters. $3.75 shelf price wasn't a terrible deal but when I got to the register it rang up $3.75 - $3.74 discount (a penny), which is I think the "remove it from inventory" discount. Might be a YMMV thing but something to keep in mind if you come across any.
You got filters at dollar general? Never seen them here.
