Was going to change the oil and had one filter left so was going to check to see if I should stop by Walmart some time. Checked 3 stores and they're basically out of stock for a Forester and Corolla in Fram and Super Tech. Uh...ok? Is that due to the Fram bankruptcy? Supply chain? Hadn't really checked, but is this a recent thing or local to my area?

Yes, countless threads here. Fram Kaput = bare shelves.

Best option going is likely Carquest Premium - which is just a PG XL painted white. There $10 but if you order online you can always get 15% off so $8.50, if you buy $35 worth - and free ship.

There used to be a number of options under $5 that were decent but those are drying up. You can get a standard Carquest for like $6 which is the standard PG offering. Those used to be available on Amazon as a standard EcoGard for $2.50 but I think that is over as well.

If you like Rockauto you can buy a Hengst or Denso for <$5, but you would need to buy in bulk to make shipping worthwhile.

Lousy time to be running out for sure.

I did a search of the site and no posts popped up. Otherwise I wouldn't have made a new one! Lol Yeah, they've been out of the AGM battery size 35 for a while, too. 4 year free replacement for the price is a steal.

I find it sort of interesting that the world's largest retailer cannot keep the OEM and other brands stocked given they had to know Fram was on rough times.

What ever happened to their deal with Purolator. Not that I would buy one - but you think they would be lining the shelves with that turd.

I couldn’t find a Fram of any flavor in stock for my Sonata 2.4L, should be a common size. Shelves were bare for most filters.

Had to go all out and get a Mobil 1 filter to pair with some Napa conventional oil I got on clearance 10 years ago.

I just meant the photo it was in the post your latest oil or filter purchase.

I get my Mazda cx5 turbo filters from the dealership and my jeep 3.6 mopar filters from the dealership so hopefully they can keep them in stock..I actually have enough mazda filters to last at least 7 more oil changes and 3 on the jeep.

I saw a Purolator ad the other day that mentioned availability at Walmart. I think they are just whittling down inventory rather than clearancing what they had on hand.

I have never seen that fancy new Purolator at the local store here.

There are zero options to buy the 7317 size online from Walmart - only 3rd party sellers. I would be willing to bet that is the most common size - all Honda, Most Nissan, many others.

For a huge retailer like Walmart that is dropping the ball. Its like being completely out of eggs - zero options. Even during the egg run I never saw them out of eggs completely.

Back in February there was a thread starter saying all the very popular 7317 application Fram variants gone from Walmart shelves. It appears just working it's way down to other applications. My thought then as now, wondered about a ripple effect to the AP stores. At the moment, I'm in good shape for the 7317 applications, but something to keep in mind on filter inventory elsewhere.

My Walmart looks the same. Stores like AAP, Oriellys, and Napa are well stocked with high quality filters.
