That is something like quadruple the oil/filter selection I have ever seen in a DG around here. Is that a "rural" store? Might be why. Never seen anything but quarts here so the jugs were a surprise much less the filters.

I see a basic filter for my Stang or mower for $3.75 and a $5 bucker for the Edge. (y)

Probably because they know i live in the area 😁 Rural as everything is here..The most friendly store I've ever been in....

Don't trust their store search feature
I just looked up my store and it said nothing.... but they have them
Well, was talking from the point of reference of having been in a few and check myself. Like @KCJeep mentioned, you pictures show about 4X more oil I have seen in any of the stores I have been with most just having their house brand oil and maybe one major label.

I suspect they do not stock the stores with high shrinkage problems.

That is impressive for a Dollar General store. And like KC said you get $5 off on Saturdays or $10 off $40. I have two stores here 3 miles away and probably about 7 or so within 10 miles

@Zee09 does the filter cannister show where it is made? Is it a PG? Killer deal for $3.75. Would love to see one cut open.
I took it outside but its so bright I couldn't get a good internal view..
It is Chinese written on the can and is the PZ37 oil filter Pennzoil sells but the full chromed spring is not completely caged on the Prime version.
The PZ 37 model is often near $8

I'd have to cut one to know your other questions but it is bright and clean inside with no visible glue

Looks like someone cut one open a year ago. Made by Highline Warren?
Some general FYI. Prime Guard is Highline Warren's "house brand" put on items made all over the place. Highline Warren is also now responsible for the new Mobil 1 Extended filter - it was Mann+Hummel before that. The Prime Guard and Mobil 1 filters look very similar to Premium Guard Inc constructed filters also made in Asia, but Prime Guard (ie, Highline Warren) and Premium Guard Inc (PGI) are separate non-related companies.

Like you said you could actually pick up a high quality name brand oil and 3 filters for future use after the Saturday coupon for $30.....
No rebates to deal with either...
Not a bad deal....
