Hello all, I am seeking recommendations for what oil filter to use on my 2011 Crown Victoria. In the past, I have primarily used the Motorcraft FL-820S filter to service either my car or vehicles owned by family members that are equipped with the Ford 4.6L Modular V8, with the occasional Wix filter. From my understanding, it seems like both of these filters have gone down in quality since the last time I had purchased them, according to some of the threads I had looked through on here.

Thanks

Oreilly's Auto "Microgard Select" or I noticed Autozone has some nice STP filters but it all depends since they use different manufacturers.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. As I usually buy my oil and filter at Walmart, I will have to keep the new Mobil 1 filters in mind. For now, I decided to pick up two of the Carquest Premium 85372 filters to try out which were $9 each at my local Advance Auto Parts after I applied a discount code I found online.

A Crown Vic, you say? We should probably defer to Elwood...

"It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile?"

Elwood forgot to mention a recommended oil filter. Probably wouldn't matter anyway since their cop ride was a Mopar.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, the COP crown vics didn't have converters all the way up to 2011?

Wasn’t their car a Dodge Monaco? I bought a 1970 used to take my mother around in the 80’s . It had the most beautiful red leather interior. I paid $700, what a boat but was good to drive.

Bluesmobile = 1974 Dodge Monoco, former Mount Prospect, Illinois police car. It used a Motown oil filter...but probably not.
