Nokian eNTYRE or WR G2?

It sounds like it's between the eNTYRE and the Michelin Primacy MXM4. Nokian's LRR cred is a little more convincing than Michelin's, especially after having driven a set of their mostly compromise-free LRR snow tires.

Just to bump an old thread: we recently put Entyre's on a 2006 Outback 3.0R for the ROY. Winter tires are Hakka R2's.
I'v had a chance to drive them in light snow: they were pretty good for an A/S although that's like saying "You aren't as ugly as everyone told me you were."
Very good performance in heavy rain - no hydroplaning yet. Dry road handling and braking is very good.
We are planning to put them on our Honda Odyssey as well. The are actually about $20 less than the Primacy MXV4, locally.

I look forward to continued reviews. I'll be needing to replace my MXV4 in about a year, and the WRG3 and eNTYRE are some of the top runners to replace them.

You don't need the V-rating for winter tires. Many places are willing to install lower speed ratings for winter tires. (The WRG and Entyre are still technically considered "winter tires" because of the severe snow symbol)
However, neither will be as good in snow as the Hakka

A cheaper alternative to the WRG2/3 is the Vredestein Quatrac 3, made in Holland. Kumho also sells the Solus Vier in Canada, and I have heard of people near the border being able to get them.

Does Nokian sell the WRG2/3 as a "high performance" snow/winter tire in Europe, or is it marketed the same exact way it is over here??
I did not have a single complaint about the Nokian WR G2 on my wife's 2005 Legacy GT wagon. I did have the 215/45/17XL size in V rated. They wore perfectly well and lasted near 45k and likely more if a raised manhole did not cause a bubble.
Some folks think of them as a winter tire but I thought of them of a all-season with way above average for all-season winter capabilities.
I will state the tire I got after WR G2, Conti DWS extreme contact was comparatively poor in winter conditions and although bit better in hot summer dry handling. Noise level was the same.

I bought the entyre three years ago, and now have 47kmiles on them. One is on the wear bars. I'm not positive but it looks like I rotated at 11k, 4k, 3k, 12k, 4k, and skipped the last one as the rears were feathered badly upon inspection--my Jetta has bad toe on the rear axle, and I only "discovered" that recently.
Only as these have gotten to the wear bars will I say have they given me grief in water. Even that, it is only the inside tire--and my car is pretty torquey. I'll say these have very good wet traction, even worn. Worn, not so good in slush, but go figure.
Wife's car with worn Primacy's I think is better in snow, but in our climate I really should just run snows.
I've got nothing against them, and if I could get the toe fixed on my car I'd be tempted to purchase again. With proper rotations I think they may well be a 60k tire.
