New tool thread

Those are very nice wrenches, Spasm!

I got this tool on Craigslist last month.

$75.

I think it's for stirring my coffee...works good for other tasks, too...

I need that, to replace my Harbor Freight 3 speed. Nice find

Tekton metric 30/60 wrenches in 6-19mm. I also threw in blems of 21, 22 and 15/16" (for my fractional set of course)

And an AGM jack rod in 2T flavorView attachment 236318

You inspired me. I went with a mixed set of Icon 10-17, and Tekton to fill the gaps: angled wrenches taking advantage of sales. I'm fascinated with how versatile these can be.

SATA pass-through socket set (Amazon)

I was torn between this and the Pittsburgh set. The price was essentially the same (about $23) and each has their strengths: Pittsburgh warranty is easy with HF about 2 miles away, but that set does not include a case. The SATA warranty requires shipping but comes with a molded case. SATA won.

Looks exactly like my GW set down to the case. I guess not surprising since SATA is "foreign" GW I'm told

10.5" long 100-tooth Astro wrench for use with the Astro Nano sockets. Bought it at Amazon for $23 (currently priced at $33).View attachment 237396

Thanks for posting this. I didn't know that they had come out with this shorter wrench. I have the 18" one and the discontinued double ended wrench for both the 3/8 and 1/2 nano sockets.
I ordered this one and received it yesterday.

I needed a affordable new angle grinder, looked at everything available near me (harbor freight, Ace etc.) and wound up with a 5-inch,10-amp, variable speed Master force from Menards, real nice and very smooth running with some more useful features than most other grinders, also 3-year warranty as opposed to Harbor Freight 90-day warranty. (sorry no pics)

Not new but might as well be. A 15ish year old gifted Craftsman pass through sockets and ratchet set, never used, found forgotten about in the bottom drawer of an old tool chest I was looking in for something else i lost. 😂 I probably put these in there because I don't like the sockets. Seems like they would quickly strip the head of any iffy bolt.

I have a very similar set. I’ve never actually used them.

I keep them around for damaged fasteners, hoping they would work instead of cutting it.

But I keep forgetting about them, and just end up cutting anyway…
