More Subaru specialty nonsense. FB crank socket and cam/crank seal drivers for EJ (IIRC)

Tekton 1-1/2" 6 point 1/2" drive socket that hopefully fits in hubs of my stock trailer. The 12 point craftsman I have doesn't fit in far enough to not mess up the top of the castle nut.

10mm Capri sockets since I have the same 10mm problem everyone else has. My kids like the goat logo on their packaging.

Klein 8mm/10mm magnetic impact socket.

Schley Cummins fuel line discos. The tools are obviously very simple and there are tons of imports on the market, but I opted for the brand name as it wasn't that much more.

Sometimes Chinese knock-offs are actually a good value, and sometimes they leave you pissed off on a Saturday night when they fail

Kent Moore DT-47825 TEHCM tester for 6T70E, 6L45E, 6L80E, & 6L90E.....Didn't come with a 6LxxE harness but I have my own.

I've been activating the solenoids & blowing solvent to clean the TEHCM/Solenoids out which works well 90% of the time, But it would be nice to know 100% before installing a unit in a vehicle!!

Think I'm going to rig a way to pressurize solvent through the test plate to more thoroughly clean the solenoids.

With new GM TEHCM's running near $700 then another $45 for programming. Sonnax remans have been good to me but not offered for '07-'09 model years.

This is simultaneously why I should stay away from my local pawn and why I go.

Can never have enough metal folding sawhorses. $40

M18 Packout light $100. Appears near-new as the protective covers are still on the lenses:

I was surprised to find such specialized mechanics' tools on the floor: BP/Lisle CV boot crimpers, Mac tools brake horseshoe opener thingy (technical term) and BP PR15 snap ring pliers. $10 for all three of these

I couldn't find much on the PR15s and they appear NLA. Given the shape of the tips I feel like they were maybe for a specific transmission application. @clinebarger are you aware of a specific application for the BluePoint PR15?

Finally found a matching scratch and dent 52" top box to go with my scratch and dent Craftsman bottom box. Everything still works as it should, just the bottom two drawers had a slight run in with a forklift. I wasn't concerned with cosmetics and got it for half price.

I like the old Craftsman box. It reminds me of my childhood, fetching tools for dad as he lay on a creeper under the car! He still has it in his garage.

Not specific to any one transmission, You just need a good assortment if getting into building units.

Tips look to be 1/16", Use on thinner snap rings. Don't use them on heavy snap rings found on manual transmissions & transfer cases.....You need forged pair for that (Snap-on SRB1 & SRB2)

Snap-on SRB1 is what I use most.
I have a Cornwell pair very similar to those Blue Points, 4L60E Lo/Reverse piston return spring retainer & 6L80E 3-5-R piston snap ring is what I use them for as access is tight.

Some pics comparing mine....

I picked up a few items this week.

A set of 6 Gearwrench metric long reach hex bits. Tractor supply had them on clearance.

A double sided Smiths sharpening stone. Clearance at tractor supply. I have a few knives and some chisels that need some love.

A 36” pry bar by Hyper Tough. Made in USA. Only $22 at Walmart.

I bought this 1/4 Milwaukee power ratchet from my work neighbor in the bay next to me. He was going to trade it in on the Matco truck but I slid him $50 for it and we were both happy. I’ve needed a 1/4 power ratchet for a long time. Now I got one. I got it on Wednesday. Tool and battery for $50 not bad. I don’t care that it’s used. I used it more than he did anyway lol 😂.

Sunex driveline impact sockets - for tight clearance. Metric. 1/2” drive. I haven’t had much success with adding a separate u-joint on impacts, so, I’m hoping these might be better at transmitting torque.

I already had this set of Williams u-joint impact sockets. But it’s nice to have options…

Makita tire inflator, 18V. I had considered the Milwaukee, but I already have Makita impacts, so if I’m putting together a tool kit for a trailer, or off-road, it makes more sense to have compatible batteries.

The only thing I don’t like about this is that you have to hold the trigger in order to energize the pump. It has an auto shut off at a pressure that you can set the keys on top, but you’re holding the trigger to get the pump to run.

On the plus side - it took 45 seconds to get one of the tires on the Packard from 28 to 40 PSI. That’s much quicker than any other portable inflator I’ve ever seen, including the big 12V one I had in the truck.

By the way, that is Makita battery number one of 28 in total. That battery is at least 14 years old, probably closer to 16 years old.

Still runs tools just fine. Makita makes great batteries.
