Offset tool for angle grinder

The tool that came with my angle grinder is made for a flat wheel. Not for what's in the picture.

So I need a offset tool. But how offset?

If a local store sold then I could try and see if it fits.

eh? that looks like what faces down on an angle grinder. I used a much smaller one yesterday to get gasket off a water pump but with a drill. Using that with an angle grinder at 8-10k rpms seems very excessive.

I don't understand what your problem is. My grinder works with both offset and flat?

What tool came with your angle grinder? I thought the angle grinder was the tool???

Oh, are you talking about the pin removal / tightening tool?
Use a water pump style pliers at an angle to tighten / remove it.

Great gasket goop remover pad. I love those. They take off everything. I even have some that fit a drill.

This replaces the grinding wheel in an angle grinder. It's made for angle grinder.

But the tool that came with the angle grinder is flat with two pins. That works as most grinding wheels are flat. But this is a little different. The tool needs to be offset to fit in there.

It's made for an angle grinder and rated for the speed the angle grinder runs at. I checked that before ordering.

My guess.
The pins on the wrench which fit into two opposite holes on the grinding disc's hub need to extend lower than the plane of the handle to reach in...to clear the "new fangled" abrasive, which is piled high
The working end of the wrench needs to be offset downward.
Donald, post a pic of the wrench which came with the tool!

Push the lock pin and give it a twist (with gloves on.)

Metabo uses a deep offset type, I have no idea if it will fit your machine but there is this..

And getting it off?

Just lock it and spin by hand. Unplug or take the battery out of the grinder first.

I have no idea where the tool is for mine, I always install and remove them by hand.
