New tool thread

I got sick of trying to carefully strip multi-conductor cables so ordered a Jonard CST-1140.

Also SnapOn A137 and A138 shock sockets (used ebay)

I am looking at this air hammer to add to the .498 shank, this one test great for power with trigger that is close to Snap on or the CP.
I have a .498 CP but for small stuff it is too brutal so this one should fit right in the middle.

My dad got this Snap On nutcracker for thirty bucks. The Snap on guy bought a bunch of them and sold zero so he has em up for thirty bucks down from 84(!).
I’m looking at them a d ask my dad what’s this groove for? Neither of us could figure it out.
Now I think maybe the handles come out of the same mold as a similar tool and it’s just there.
Any ideas?
That's the perfect Christmas time tool for many families after Christmas Eve dinner. Nuts were something always on the table after dinner on Christmas Eve when I was growing up.

Devious cop on my lunch break 👌
An early Christmas present to myself
Walked out of HD with it for $97.44, beats the $179 + tax it would normally be
Enjoy the HD Milwaukee Hack while it lasts 👀
Maybe I'll list my M12 with a 2.0 battery, see if someone wants a good deal on it, might be able to close the gap 💰

What is the HD Milwaukee Hack?

This popped up for $120 locally. In a case of hope-springs-eternal and "aim high" I thought maybe one day I could be as cool as @The Critic since he's been pressure bleeding every vehicle he sees these days. I know this isn't actually possible but I figure it's good to have goals.... :D

In all seriousness I was going to pass until I watched SMA's vid

Came with a handful of adapters including some homebrew monstrosity far right -- looks like maybe for old GM all-metal reservoirs?View attachment 193756

Replace the diaphragm before you use it. If the diaphragm is old and leaky, you will aerate the fluid.

You do this by capitalizing on the way HD structures it's free tool bundles

I got lucky on this one, I ordered in the app on the way to the store, cancelled the battery bundle in the app 2 minutes after ordering
That way I never pay for the battery, so I don't have to return it

I walked in to pickup, they handed me my Christmas present 🥰

There's nothing illegal or immoral about it IMO 🤷‍♂️
It's their policies that let you do this
I wonder how much longer it'll last 🤔
Why would I buy on eBay/LetGo/Craigslist for more and not have a receipt/warranty 🙄
$97.44 is a notable savings on ~$195
Unless you need the batteries/charger

Happy hunting 🤌

The practice has been so prevalent that Home Depot and other retailers must be clued in by now. Maybe they don’t mind as much as one would think, especially if a return brings you back to the store. But, I would guarantee they’re watching sales and returns data, as well as inventory numbers.

Should the “tool deal return hack” practice become more the norm than the exception, Home Depot could easily defeat it, by switching to more single-SKU bundles, changing the return policy, or any number of other ways.

The company I worked for was adamant that knives would not be used for anything . They bought all sorts of different cable strippers but nothing ever worked to my liking . I perfected my technique using a knife with a sheepsfoot blade and that's what I used until I retired . It's a personal choice though . Whatever works for you .

Was looking at the LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler, $30.00 at Amazon.

Came across these 2 for $20.00 ordered a pair of them.

I bought and tried this AORRZER set, unfortunately their locking mechanism is unreliable and only works half the time. Its going back. I have a LockNLube XL coming today.

At that price, I would have bought the two batteries and charger, and been very happy…
