New tool thread

If you're ready to suddenly think that Metabo ain't actually that smooth, Fein. I'm a metalworker for a living and my 5" Fein is absolutely the best, smoothest grinder I've ever used.

Bought a new torque wrench a while back, forgot to post it.

I bought the same 250 ft-lb PI torque wrench about a year ago. Its calibration was off by 12% at the low end. A slightly older 600 inch-lb PI split beam was not as bad, but also failed to meet its accuracy specification of 4%. QC at PI is slipping away. I sent both tools off to Team Torque in ND for adjustment and calibration, and they got both tools down to a maximum error of +/- 1.2%

Got me a new 1/2" Proto palm control ratchet. The prices have gone up about $30 in the last 4 years. These are some of my absolute favorite ratchets. They are made in Italy by USAG and use the Facom Palm control head.
It's the one there on the top.

The guts were nice and lubed up. While I had it apart, I threw some TW25B in there.

The head is just a shade bigger than a 1 in chrome socket.

Edited to add that when you get one of these, chuck it in a drill with a half inch square drive socket (or 15mm spline) and run it for about a minute in either direction on medium low speed. The mechanism will be butter smooth then. These ratchets are only second to my Koken Zeal in back drag.

Finally bought the big rivet gun for home. About the only thing I’ll ever need it for is window regulator or license plate bracket rivets. Sure enough though I’ve done a few window regulators at home here lately.

Don’t mind the messy home toolbox with spare parts for everything from appliances to gas cans in the top 🤣

My Roll-In saw has a handful of 3/8-16 tapped holes around the blade for jigs/fences.

I always wanted a toe clamp set in 3/8-16 to aid in setups. I've got clamp sets for my vertical mills but those are of course 1/2-13.

I actually got this set (the shiny red plastic case) for Christmas (the in-laws are all about Amazon wish lists) but just now opened it, so I say it's still new to me ;)

Made a new 700R4/4L60E Rear Sun Rear Bushing Remover/Installer specifically for Wide Durabond Bushings. Have a Steel Driver I made years ago for Sonnax wide sun gear bushings.....And it still works great on the Sonnax Bushing.
When using it to install a Durabond bushing which is @ .003"-.005" wider.....The bushing would at times hit the ledge in the Sun Gear deforming it ever so slightly thus making too tight a fit on the Reaction Shaft.

I do not like Honing Bushings as it's very difficult to control what material gets removed defeating the purpose of replacing the bushing in the first place.
