New Super Tech 15w-40 CK-4/SN Full Synthetic

CK-4 is supposed to be backwards compatible with older specs, but Ford officially had concerns with the reduced anti wear additives in that spec and released a list of oils they said where good enough for their diesel engines. Based in the oil analysis above, this oil has the amount of phosphorous that Ford wants, so I would use it. Since it's new, it probably isn't on Ford's list, if they are even updating it anymore.
That Ford list has several CK4s - I think they were mainly concerned about dual rated SN/CK4 ones like this Supertech.

It’s at my Carlisle Walmart and lots of it.
Assuming it is Carlisle, PA, their website has SuperTech 15W40 conventional diesel oil, just like all other WM's, unless they happen to have a bunch of the synthetic variety but are being hushed to not make it public info.

Saw 5 gallons of the synthetic on the shelf and more on top of the shelving turned around backwards at my local Wally World.

Obviously their store site is NOT updated then. Brother bought 3 gallons there.

My OCD made me go to the store manager and I asked him to look at the computer and tell me the WM store that had more of this. Found 9 gallons at a branch 4.5 miles from work. In the bag they went.

Is there any reason I shouldn’t run this in my 94 ls400 Lexus v8? I’m wanting to do 9k OCI with a fram endurance filter. Looking for a long OCI oil that can withstand my spirited driving

@Shucks18 Mobil 1 0W40 might be a better oil for that engine and your spirited driving. Hopefully will chime in.
Appreciated. I’m torn between a x-w40 HDEO dual rated oil or my usual choice of Quaker state euro 5w40. I’m in the middle researching if a euro a3/b4 oil is better for my needs VS something like an hdeo or maybe even mobile ESP but I want the 40 weights. I’m graduating from 4k oci up to 8k-10k

A3/B4 and most HDEO will safely take your Lexus to 10K. I agree with @Sam_Julier a full SAPS Euro might be the better choice.

What is the reason if any you think you need a 40grade oil M1 ESP 0W30 would easily handle the job and a bargain at Walmart

Because I want to run a long oci cause I hate doing oil changes on this car, so I want an oil that starts out as a 40wt (albeit euro 40wt is almost a 30) and shears to a 30wt instead of a 30wt shearing to a 20wt. I drive it hard, and the same engine in my car overseas in Europe and other countries spec 40wt. It makes me sleep better at night. I’m just wondering if a euro a3/b4 is better inherently better than mobile esp for extended oci. plus I like the idea of an older outdated API spec for my engine that specs api SG, Back when engine oil wasn’t bowing down to the epa and emission systems life. My engine burns zero oil, I want the zinc. I know modern api SN specs are amazing but I like older oil specs

Hell Walmart has Delo 15w40 syn on clearance for 12 bucks a gallon. Idk if that would be a good choice for a 8k-10k oci either. Dual rated!

0/5w-40 has a about.5 or .6 hths less than 15w-40 but that's fine. Either is good. 0/5w-40 euro is thinner but still thick enough anyway.
