If Chrysler is so terrible, looks like they can only get better. Not everyone paid attention to JD Powers surveys.

June sales results..

Most of the guys I work with drive ~$35K-50K pickups as their daily drivers. A mix of all of them, Ford, GM and Ram. The non-Ram owners have had Rams as loaners when their own rigs were in for warranty work, etc. They've all said the Ram rides the better then there own.

In your opinion only. Which as I said is fine.

Everybody knows that neither Consumer Reports nor JD Power data is scientifically collected or statistically valid. If you trust it, fine. I look at it and consider it, but when it runs counter to observation I don't believe it in spite of the reality I observe.

I dunno. I had a lot respect for the K cars (simple design) and slant sixes, and other things they did. Mom had an Acclaim which I thought wasn't a bad car when it wasn't very old--and it it withstood at least 150k of some hard usage by my brothers (all the abuse coming late in life). But I've read of plenty of issues on the minivans, and seen plenty of rusty models, and complaints about front ends on the trucks. I'd have to say I'm in the camp of, they shoulda died off years ago. If not in the last bankruptcy. Mostly because of the whole dislike of gov bailouts. But that is past debating now, and now I'm curious if they are truly as good as everyone else. Oughta know in a few more years, once the 2011-ish models reach 5+ years old and/or 150k+.

Have to revise one's opinions every so often. Especially when it comes to technology and makers of said tech. Designs, designers and management come and go on a yearly basis.

This is the deal here. Everyone who is into Chryslers knows their dogs, it's really kind of obvious. Their are, and always have been, excellent cars and trucks within the Chrysler line.

Clevy has run modern gen Hemis to ridiculous mileages and without a hiccup. I have an excellent LX sedan. 440 enjoys his LC.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion...
